Warriors are close to signing free agent guard Nate Robinson, multiple sources confirmed.

Robinson could sign as soon as Wednesday and join the team Friday in Los Angeles.

The sixth year guard started last season with Boston, appearing in 55 games and averaging 7.1 points in 17.9 minutes. But he was traded to Oklahoma City, where he totaled just 30 minutes in four appearances.

For his career, Robinson averages 11.3 points in 23 minutes. He gained national fame by winning two slam dunk contests at 5-foot-9.

Cool. Good for him and the Warriors. I'm sure he could be a great backup for curry and Monta.

He can be a fan fav and get some threes off the bench. It's about time he found a team.

Not sure why you would sign him, but good riddance

Well right now the Warriors backup pgs are Charles Jenkins and Ish Smith both whom I doubt many people know. Robinson brings something that the Warriors currently lack which is suprisingly offense. The Warriors have definetly improved on defense but they have failed to deliver on the offensive end which is why theyve lose against the sixers and phx

He's won the dunk contest three times, not twice at 5'9''. Unless he grew/shrank.

Warriors seem to have a knack for going after guys who never had much playing time on decent teams but have obvious talent. For example: Kwame Brown, Brandon Rush, Dorell Wright(last year), and now Nate Robinson.

Good acquisition for them in my opinion.

Doc gave him limited minutes and Brooks gave him limited minutes in OKC. Hope he does well in the Bay Area
