He's a restricted free agent after this season.

let him go

They probably end up keeing him. Every team needs an inefficient chucker who loves to shoot.

Kidding, but they honestly will probably re-sign him to a modest contract.

Keep him or trade him. Not worth letting him just walk.

Oh sh**t... that's my bow-ne! ...cracks my up...saw that whole drama unfold on live TV...

...yeah, resign him, he's a good energy guy off the bench

i think a bigger issue is what will they do with their three pg's? they should trade either barea or ridnour.

how about watson's expiring for ridnour?

I'd keep him, he'll definitely improve.

I don't expect anyone to overbid for him so I could see him back next year or for a couple years at maybe 5-7 mil per

That seems about right. Adelman has a bit more swagger than he-who-shall-not-be-named so if he can get a bit more efficient production from him (something around average PER) I think we lock him in for 3 years, maybe 4, so his expiring comes up about the time Rubio/Williams need resigning.

About Ridnour (because it came up) and our "3 PGs" EVERY team needs a solid backup, and Ridnour is that. I would hate to just trade/package him away. JJ, to me, is a change of pace guard, not a true PG. Also, we can use those other two in a couple ways off the bench, and in tandems with each other and Rubio. It's not really that clogged a position, and certainly not as much as the media (ESPN chuckleheads) would have you believe.

Also, I think back to when we actually WERE going to the playoffs, and we lost our two only (half assed) point guards. I think we had Kendall Gill bringing the ball up court for us. I guess I would rather keep three.

Have Derrick Williams take starting SF spot. Trade beasly for monta or iggy.

Ideal situation is that they package him and Ridnour for a hyper efficient wing.

Likely they resign him, but his game doesnt translate well to a bench role so expect decline when he goes there.

We'll probably resign him. He loves it here and has spoke out about wanting to stay here long-term. I see him getting a 7 mil per for 3-4 years.

I actually like him off the bench. I think he can still chuck and play 25-30mpg and... help the T'wolves win :speechless:

Oh I would trade Beasley for Reddick all day long. We need a SG badly, and Reddick is a good player.

Iggy? Have Derrick Williams take the 3 spot so you can trade beasley for another 3?

Williams can't play SF in the NBA, at least not often.

Meh, I would need to do a little bit more research but I can't say I view his playstyle as one that can positively translate into a shorter playtime.

I mean (mostly unrelated player) Troy Murphy, a rhythm shooter, went from a 10+ WARP player who was highly valued to a horrific bench player due to a few lingering injuries and Derrick Favors, and his low minutes never helped him.

Williams shooting and lateral quickness does not equal NBA 3 and his strengths would be marginalized as well.

Beasley = a better Villanueva.

Beasley needs to be packaged in a trade for Bargnani

i really think beasly off the bench as a 6th man who provides scoring would be a great roll for him to excell in.

As long as he doesnt do stupid pull up jumpers instead of getting to the rim, ill be all for 7 mil a year for maybe 3-4 years. Sometimes his play style on the court just infuriates me... when he jabs steps, jab steps, then shoot a contested jumper. and this happens close to ten times a game. SMH. If he can just be combined with wes johnson, they would be the perfect player!

Some team will pay him at least 40 for 4 years.

Beasley will not bring back a good player, but I see them attempting to package him. If not, he tests his value in free agency, and when he realizes it isnt as high as he thinks it is, Wolves put in an offer, or let him walk.

They need to send him to Utah with some nice package to try to get one of Utahs young bigs. Kanter or Favors. Doubt utah does it but minnesota wouldnt want Millsap or Jefferson

Favors is definitely not available and Kanter isn't a good fit next to Love.

Give him his $8 Million QO for 1 more year, and see if any team is going to give him multiple years at $9 Million or more.

I dont see any way Minnesota will keep Beasley at $8-10 Million on a 4/5 year deal so if a team comes in and wants him at that price, I think hes gone.

Or they'll just package Beasley + Randolph for Kevin Martin near the deadline.
