Yeah I've been noticing since he's on my fantasy team.. He's just way too out of control at times but I look for him to clean that up as the season progresses.

This. Let's wait for at least 33 games to pass before making any other crazy comments.

Not to mention the 3 (edit: 3 field goals, not one triple) Westbrook made just before that to go along with KD's other bucket. They were both great down the final stretch.

Westbrook is a turnover machine much like John Wall, but obviously these numbers are just anomalies that you see when cherry-picking stats after week 1, especially after a lockout.

How about this for a crazy stat

Deron Williams has 17 assists and 16 turnovers

Derrick Rose, Rondo, Westbrook, Steph Curry, Deron Williams, Steve Nash, John Wall and Kobe have all averaged over 4.5 turnovers a game to start the season.

Not bad company.

His game reminds me of drunk drivers. Not the cautious ones. The ones ending up in prison for killing someone.

Out of control.

That Nash has averaged a bunch? Joke? He's top 5 in turnovers most years. Him, Lebron, Dwight, etc.

To all of you that picked up Kyle Lowry or Ty Lawson on your fantasy squad, you are in for a nice treat.

Both are going to be spectacular this season.

And I assumed that PG's would have the toughest start out of the lockout. They just didn't have enough time to get used to their new players.

It is not surprising at all that people who handle the ball a lot in a post lockout season have seen their turnovers higher than normal. It will balance out a little bit before the season is over.

You might even see career highs in per game turnovers from players.

Lebron James hasn't attempted a 3 point shot yet through 3 games.

interesting, he's never been a good 3 point shooter so that might be a good thing. I always wish guys that cant shoot the 3, would, well...not shoot it!

Josh Smith did it a few years ago and became much more effiecient, James has done it so far and he's shooting an insane 60% now through 3 games.

Kind of like the whole "the Celtics are done, lets trade Rondo for Westbrook because the C's will be the worst team in the NBA next year" thing, or "HOLY ***** THE CELTICS ARE GUNNA SIGN DAVID WEST OMG NO WAI", right?

But yeah, this is an overreaction. He is playing pretty poorly right now, but he obviously won't be like this all season. Like several people have said already, the most impressive stat is OKC's record despite Westrbook's individual stats.

I assume you're attempting to take a shot at me here.

I'll play along: Trade Rondo because he's vastly overrated by Celtic fans that can't come to the realization that his jump shot sucks and he plays with 3 future hall of famers.

Yeah, what you said about Rondo was true. I just feel like you are capable of overacting just like most of the forum (David West?) but occasionally get on your high horse and act like you are above the lowly ranks of the rest of the forum. I generally enjoy your posts even though I don't always agree with them.

For example, I disagree with your assessment of Rondo overall. He is overrated by a number of Celtics fans, but underrated by others (like yourself). His jumpshot does suck, and he does play with three future hall of fame players, but he isn't suddenly going to turn into Avery Bradley when the old guys retire. Rondo is a very good player and the only young piece on the team, and I don't like the idea of trading him for Westbrook. Westbrook is obviously a much better scorer, but isn't as good a point guard and seems to have just as many personality issues as Rondo does. I'd rather build around a unique pass-first point guard by signing some scorers and young players to run with him in the fastbreak (which he hasn't really been able to do much with the current team), especially with the team-friendly contract that Rondo has.

Anyway, this probably wasn't the place to have had this discussion as it is a thread about Westbrook, not Rondo. My apologies for the semi-derailing of this thread.

Westbrook has been all over the place, to say the least. Their team as a whole is playing really well, but he just looks crazy. I'm sure he'll turn it around at some point, but it's been rough watching him.

I drafted Westbrook and traded him for Kyle Lowry & Paul George. Happy with my decision. The guy I proposed it to thought I was a moron.

I got a radical idea, why not stop taking jumpers, period.

Not buying your efficiency argument.
