Kyrylo Fesenko has agreed to a one-year, $1.07 million deal with Golden State.

The Warriors signed veteran big man Kwame Brown to a one-year, $7 million deal recently but are clearly concerned about their frontcourt in the oversized Western Conference.

Fesenko -- a 7-foot, 280-pound center who spent his first four seasons in Utah -- was reportedly being pursued by Dallas, Miami and Toronto.

It seems obvious that the Warriors and Jackson have very little faith in Andris Biedrins. They've been trying to find a better option since free agency began. Between Brown and Fesenko, I can see Biedrins starting games, but playing about 12 minutes per game.

With this signing something tells me that Jeremy Tyler must not be ready and in case beans goes down as well which can be expected. But mostly this seems like a mild rebuke on Jeremy Tyler.

Biedrens played well (sort of) in the past two games. The dubs maybe thinking that they could trade him and get something somehow worth it in return (a backup PG maybe?)

Don't read much into this. If you can get a 7'2 & 290 pound center for a million dollars, do it. It has nothing to do with Biedrins, it might mean Tyler is going to the D-league soon though.

Why not bring Felton Spencer for a try out

Tyler was sent to the d-league today and all it really does is help build Tyler's confidence in the d-league and give us a big IF we need it. Beans and brown seem to be paying off and are working well in rotation together. Also it just gives us size which we can always use. Now other than curry and Ellis we have size in our starting line up Plus the bench has alot of size also

Watch Fesenko's highlights via YouTube when he played overseas. It's funny.

So how is he gonna run and gun?

He's probably only going to play against teams with bigger centers.

Yeah, but the Lakers have Gasol & Bynum, Magic have Howard & Davis. Some teams have multiple really big men.

So did they sign this dude or not? The only report I saw was the article posted in these forums. It hasn't been announced formally by either the NBA or the Warriors organization unless I missed the announcement, but if it was, I know it would at least still be posted on the Dubs website and it isn't. The latest thing I saw was that it was "pending passing his physical". I mean c'mon man how friggen long does it take to take a physical and get the results? A day or two? Maybe? The announcement I saw was at the beginning of this week? Has anyone seen anything "iron clad" or directly from any really official source about this deal? If so please post it because I can't find squat about it.

"OAKLAND – The Warriors will not be signing free agent center Kyrylo Fesenko, according to the team. Fesenko was in the Bay Area on Wednesday night, but the Warriors “decided to go in another direction,” according to a team spokesman. The Warriors were considering bringing in Fesenko, 7-foot-1, 290 pounds, as a third center – behind Andris Biedrins and Kwame Brown. Fesenko, who played the past four seasons for Utah, is a free agent. He averaged two points and two rebounds per game in 53 games for the Jazz in 2010-11."

I guess the FO changed their mind. I thought he was already signed for 1.07 mil though.

Great thanks, glad that is squared away now. Wonder which direction they will take from this point on. Can't be that many great players available for just over a million bucks.
