""We look old, slow and out of shape," Dirk Nowitzki said. "I still think this team has a lot of potential. We just need to work. We probably needed extra weeks of training camp. But we don't have it so the young teams, the athletic teams, look better right now than we do."

they look un motivated too. that championship made them content imo, which is a bad thing for trying to repeat. that and the whole team is old

They remind me of the Heat after winning it all in 2006

I'll say it again, Odom looks really out of shape. Haywood actually looked really decent from a physical standpoint.. J-kidd is just getting old too. They'll be fine though, they need time.

They don't look good for now,but time will tell if they still can contend.

motivation and hard work in the off-season is key. that's why most teams don't go back-to-back.

think about the 1999 lockout season. there's a reason why a young, 27-24, 8th ranked NYK team made the Finals, despite Ewing missing over half of the ECF and all of the Finals. Young legs. The whole core outside of Ewing was under 30. No way do two old teams make it to the finals this year. A group of young guns will make it.
