I called it in the other thread. It makes sense.

Celtics shouldn't be forced to choose between playing Marquis Daniels and Sasha Pavlovic behind Pierce. Pietrus isn't that great, but he's way better than those 2.

His knee is done. If Suns medical staff couldn't revive him, who can?

If his knees are healthy, then I think that this could be a huge addition. Would still rather have a healthy Jeff Green of course, but I think Pietrus fits in nicely at Boston.

You're underrating Marquis Daniels.

He's isn't replacing Marquis. He's replacing Sasha. Marquis is a very solid bench player, this doesn't effect his playing time at all.

It's not his knee. It' his personality they couldn't repair.

This.

The normal depth chart (pre Pietrus) was going to be:

Rondo - Dooling
Allen - Bradley
Pierce - Daniels
KG - Bass
JO - Wilcox

With Pietrus, we can push Bradley down the bench and have a 1-2-3 of Dooling, Daniels and Pietrus. Very solid.

The only reason Pavlovic's name is relevant right now is because Pierce isn't ready to go for the opener due to a deep heel bruise. They dont want to risk a stress fracture.

Yea, he wanted no part of Phoenix. Dont really understand why.

His knee isn't 100%, but he was medically cleared to play days after the trade with Toronto got voided.
