I read this earlier. There are 2 CBs I'd like to see us taking a flyer on in later rounds. Micah Hyde (Iowa) and Tysyn Hartman (Kansas St). Both are 6'3", rangey and quick. Trufant is gone and Thurmond will look good as a speedy NB. Having another BIG CB is what Carroll loves and their speed will help out

Good stuff! We are improving so rapidly this season. Next year is going to be great! Still have hopes of post season football, but it is going to be tough. Need a lot of help. We improve our pass rush and get more depth on the O line and we will be solid.

Yeah, I can't wait! We're only a few key pieces away.

**** yes. Trufant is on the last year of his contract, correct? How much space is that going to free up for us?

Personally, I'd love to bring him back for cheap. I've always loved Tru, and I'd love to have him back for cheap if it's possible.

His salary in 2012 is $5.8M and his roster bonus (paid on 1 Mar) is $3M+. Definitely not worth $9M... The fact that we have gotten bigger, he no longer fits the mold. IMO, there's no way would he stick around to be our #3 or #4.

Tru will come back.

The question is: Does Pete want him back?

He's got $$$ on the table, of course he'd come back...

I don't think Pete will want him back. Browner and Sherman have made HUGE strides and Thurmond back is better than Trufant in regards to health AND age.

Hope we can get a better pass rush next year that will enable our physical corners to be more physical.

Whitney Mercilus should do the trick...

I don't like Thurmond anymore. All he's good for is getting hurt and dropping punts.

This secondary is so good considering they have no pass rush to help them.

Age yes, health a big no, honestly there probably the same, even in college thurmand had problems staying healthy.
