I was worried Kobe wouldn't play, I didn't want to see a bulls blowout win in the best primetime slot

Its Kobe. He plays that game 9 times out of 10. You would have had to tie him to the bench to keep him out

Chicago should be happy, they are better off facing Kobe than a larger dose of Bynum who I think is much more efficient. Kobe just messed up their only shot of winning.

dnewguy, the bulls aren't worried of bynum anyways.... because he's suspended for the first five games

common dude.

Just saying, i'll rather face a leading scorer that shoots 5/32 fg than 12/17fg.

That's so true, I forgot. Damn that's a easy win for the Bulls, i'll say a blowout because Kobe will be chewing out his teammates rather than pass.

Weren't you supposed to leave PSD forever after the Heat lost to Dallas.

go find me a box score where Kobe has ever shot 5/32 from the field.

bryant averages 1.3 points per field goal attempt for his career. thats fine efficiency.

no team improves their chances of winning when they lose a top ten player.

Not surprised, with Bynum out, they needed him so he came through...

Is this a joke? The Bulls would wipe the floor with the Lakers if Kobe didn't play. Either way, Bulls win Sunday.

I wonder who Kobe will guard because RIP like running around through those screens and well Kobe can't keep up with Rose, we have seen that in the past. so it will be interesting to see.

Whos guarding Kobe

I'd guess Deng. He has typically guarded Kobe in the past (and obviously Brewer when Deng is on the bench). Especially now with Artest worse than ever and neither Ebanks nor Barnes being much of threats of offensively, so I'd expect Rip to be on them.

Injured kobe without Bynum. I predict Bulls win by 12+, cant wait to see what the Vegas odds will be for this one

Amen... Mike Wilbon mentioned something on PTI that got me thinking. We are spoiled as Laker fans for having this guy. 15 years of tough ball, yeah he had his faults, but most NBA players do. I think players that watch Kobe need to take his mentality away from his legacy. The NBA is too buddy buddy... This guy hates everybody and makes everything a competition. I just heard Jalen Rose on ESPN say he had the exact same injury, and missed 10 regular season games, without a compressed schedule.

I guess what Im trying to say is that we have to enjoy this guy while hes still around.

And for people that hate him... you wont have anybody left to hate. So love him or hate him, we are gonna miss him when he leaves.

Lakers have always played the Bulls well. This won't be an easy game IMO. Bynum is a big loss though.

Yeah, I woulda liked our chances with Bynum... we're gonna have Josh Mcroberts or Troy Murphy start. Pretty big downgrade lol. Plus a banged up Kobe... Bulls should win.

Didn't you lose a bet or something?

And no, you're wrong. First off Bynum's suspended, and second he's not capable of taking over a game like Kobe is. He's more efficient because he gets the ball close to the rim and can normally out muscle whoever is guarding him. But without a threat in the back court capable of creating his own shot the defense can focus on Bynum and probably make him much less effective. He has good numbers for a 3rd option, but that has something to do with being defended as a third option. This isn't a knock on Bynum I'm just saying if you take Kobe out of the game and run it through Bynum good defenses like Chicago will adjust.
