Chuck Hayes’ reps at BDA Sports release a statement saying he has no heart problem and has been cleared to play by the Cleveland Clinic.

Hayes underwent “a full day of exhaustive testing and exams” yesterday and this morning was cleared to return to the court, BDA Sports said.

Hayes’ exams were directed by Dr. Steven Nissen, chairman of cardiovascular medicine at the world renowned Cleveland Clinic.

Hayes, whose contract was voided by the Kings after a failed physical, “can continue to play basketball without any concerns,” BDA says.

Good to hear.. Hopefully the Dr ain't wrong. Maybe Sacremento signs an incentive laden deal with a team option.

Well if Kings don't want him, I hope Bulls look into him as a Kurt Thomas replacement. Granted I think they'll be a long line ahead who'd offer more minutes/money.

I wonder if teams can snatch him if he doesn't re-sign with Sac right away.

I think the Lakers should gun hard at Hayes. He'd be an ideal defensive back up to Pau and Bynum. He'd also be solid insurance in case Bynum were to suffer another injury this season.

It would be awesome if he came to the Nets now with Lopez being out...

I think a real playoff contender needs to jump at him. He's 6'6" and can defensively play center against anyone. I'm a Rockets fan, and if a team needs a real defensive stopper they need to jump at this opportunity to sign him.

Welcome back!

He's exactly what our young team needs; leadership, defense, doesn't need shots, does the dirty work, and can bang with anyone in the game. He'll keep DeMarcus out of foul trouble which is going to be an important part of our success this year
