Nice pick-up for them, too bad Kaman isn't there anymore to help on the boards (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cv1cBN8M-9I) lol

The Clippers are close to signing veteran free agent forward/center Reggie Evans to a one-year deal for about $1.3 million, according to a basketball executive who was not authorized to speak publicly about the deal

Double post!

Let me use this as an opportunity to say Reggie Evans has great ball handling skills. Kaman knows...

Now if the Clippers complete the off season with Dalembert, WOW

Only if they had a good coach they could be a top 5 team in NBA

We need a center bad still, Reggie adds to the depth at the 4.

Wow, we slept on him big time. He took less than what we could have offered if we even made contact.

Anyways, Reggie Evans is a great addition to the Clippers. Perfect guy to backup Blake at the 4.

It's all over, the tables have been set for the end. The Clippers have assembled three gods of the boards in the beast Griffin, Deandre "De-God" Jordan, and now Reggie Evans. That already stable black hole is able to suck more balls in than Jenna Jameson. Along with Paul, there is no doubt that these 4 horsemen of the Apocalypse will take their talents to the finals. The only group that can stop him, is the 6-10 SG Paul George and the Indiana Pacers. All of these "stars" that we talk about consistently on this site, Lebron, Rose, Wade, Amar'e, Dirk, Kobe... They will all be thrown aside by these behemoths. With the end of the World as the other option, Paul George will have to see over the hell and lead the earth back to the light. Afterwards, he'll have to protect the world from the Clipper Jersey wearing North Korean Nation.

LOL! Nice! Reggie is pretty much only a good rebounder, but he will only be known for his ball-handling!

I love how the Clippers signing a backup is worth a thread in the NBA forum now! I love how some people are bitter about it! This is obviously just another really good move but a FO that is on fire! I think I'd rather see us use our $2.5 million excemption on Stevenson than a Center unless we can get Dalembert, which I doubt. Bring in a 7 foot veteran like Dampier on a minimum contract, add Stevenson and play small off the bench. How many 7 foot threats come off the bench?

Always enjoyed him in Denver. Fantastic rebounder. Seemed to have a screw loose though and he would commit too many fouls at times. Still think he's a good player though.

According to Hoopsworld

"The Clippers still have their Room Exception ($2.5 million) and a $3.8 million trade exception from the Chris Paul trade." Meaning we can still get a couple more solid free agents.

It's funny that guys like Caron, Chauncey and now Reggie... people wanted on their teams and said they would be great pick ups... but because it was the Clippers who picked them up you have a ton of people being negative. Saying negative things just because. Just like people said the Clippers as currently constructed will be bad on defense for example.

Last night they had 30 points off forced turnovers, 7 blocked shots, tons of steals etc. People need to stop making up things and get with the program. Clippers front office has steamrolled the competition this summer and it hasn't even been close. People can no longer say Sterling doesn't care. The guy has given the front office the green light and they are the only offseason A+ team.

Good move for the Clippers. Especially at the cost. He's a quality backup. Clippers are looking like a real good team.

I agree with most of your comments because the clipps are finally doing something and all of the free agents they brought in are great however your last comment is what will get other fan bases to talk crap.
