According to Sam Amick of Sports Illustrated, Jamal Crawford has agreed to sign with the Portland Trail Blazers.
Portland's interest in Crawford was strong, and the scorer had an interest in joining the team as well. He is known to be close friends with Brandon Roy and LaMarcus Aldridge, and that may have played into his decision to join the team. The Trail Blazers will be a very fun team to watch, and Crawford should hold fantasy value as a volume scorer after the team reportedly promised the starting shooting guard position to him if he signed. solid replacement for Roy. This should keep them in the playoff hunt. I expect a 5-7 seed

I don't like him in a half court system like Portland

Kind of glad he didn't end up with the Kings. He'd be a good role player for us, but we already have 3 guards who are in the same mold as Crawford. Spending money on Dally or AK47 make the Kings a lot better than Crawford would

Don't know if an offense that moves as slow as Portlands will work for him.

McMillan and Co are working on running a lot more this season.

With Felton at point instead of Dre's old *** I have a feeling they'll meet their objective much easier this season than in year's past.

Actually with Andre Miller gone, that offense can pick up to a faster pace now.

At least some good news for portland. Wanted him on the knicks but he gets to be closer at home. Portland is my sleeper team in the West

Nice signing for the Blazers. Felton, Crawford, Wallace, Aldridge, and Camby with Matthews, and Batumn off the bench is a nice start. Too bad Oden will never see the court. Blazers will be in the thick of it this season but we need more front court depth.

Is Crawford guaranteed to start at SG or will he come off the bench with Matthews starting?

AK47 is going to sign with the Nets.

Says who? It's been reported he's strongly considered Sacto in addition to the Nets and staying in Russia

To me, it was BRoy who slowed down the offense. Whenever he got the ball in the open court, he'd slow it down into a half court set. It was when he was out that the offense was thriving and they were leading the league in ally oops.

Either way, the offense is going to be quick this year but i don't trust what they say about. I think it'll be the same offense because in the past 3 offseasons they say they were going to run a quicker offense and they didn't.
