Jets' Tomlinson expects to play after tweaking knee injury
Jets running back LaDainian Tomlinson said he would be able to play next week after leaving during the first quarter of Sunday's 34-19 win over the Washington Redskins with a knee injury.
Tomlinson did return, and confirmed after the game that he tweaked his left knee, the same knee which caused him to miss the last two games with a sprained medial collateral ligament.
New York Jets RB LaDainian Tomlinson returned from a two-game absence due to a knee injury on Sunday of Week 13 in Washington. Tomlinson immediately injured the same knee Sunday against the Redskins. In fact, on just his second play of the game, Tomlinson caught a 16-yard pass and came up gimpy. Tomlinson eventually returned to the game, but saw just one more touch. He rushed once for 5 yards and clearly wasn't the same back after tweaking the knee.
LaDainian Tomlinson slipped awkwardly on the ground at FedEx Field in the first quarter of the Jets' 34-19 win over Washington Red Skins on Sunday.
The way he fell hurt the same left knee that forced him to sit out the last two weeks, but the Jets running back came back in the game and said afterwards that it is just sore.
Tomlinson came up limping after a 16-yard reception. His only other touch in the game was a 5-yard run.

What da *** you talkin bout boi.

houston texans sign jake delhomme

the injury-riddled houston texans added to their quarterback depth tuesday, reaching a deal with jake delhomme.

Delhomme worked out with the houston texans on tuesday, along with another retired quarterback, jeff garcia. The 36-year-old delhomme will back up rookie t.j. Yates, a fifth-round pick slated to start sunday's game against atlanta falcons (http://www.comjerseyscom.com/sports-outdoors/nfl-jerseys-football-jersey-jerseys-wholesale/green-bay-packers-nfl-jerseys/).

Rick smith, delhomme's agent, said in a phone interview tuesday that his client has been staying in shape and raising racehorses in louisiana since he was cut by cleveland in july. He joins former new york jets starter kellen clemens in houston's desperation reserve qb pool behind rookie t.j. Yates, a fifth-round pick from north carolina.

The texans are expected to work out jake delhomme and jeff garcia.

Neither delhomme or garcia have taken an nfl (http://www.comjerseyscom.com/sports-outdoors/nfl-jerseys-football-jersey-jerseys-wholesale/houston-texans-nfl-jerseys/) snap this season, but both players bring plenty of much-needed experience to the table, including playoff experience, something that houston texans (http://www.comjerseyscom.com/sports-outdoors/nfl-jerseys-football-jersey-jerseys-wholesale/houston-texans-nfl-jerseys/) desperately lacks

leinart suffered his own season-ending injury during week 11's game against jacksonville, leaving houston scrambling to find a quarterback that can lead them to their first postseason berth in franchise history.

The texans will turn to t.j. Yates under center next week against the atlanta falcons and recently signed kellen clemens as backup, but yates is a rookie with very limited experience and clemens has been with the team for only a week.

this.

If you ask Spurs fans what they think of Richard Jefferson, you'd find that he's very underrated. He's not the best fit, but he was pretty darn efficient offensively last season.

I would say Gortat and Kevin Martin for around the league. Martin is one of the best scorers in the NBA (better player than Monta Ellis) and Gortat is a pretty good center in a league without a lot of good centers.

Kevin Martin and Al Jefferson in my eyes...

Kevin Martin for being such a great scorer but doing it so efficiently. Everytime my team is facing him i go ugh he is gonna go off for a 25. Even when he only goes for like 14-17pts he does it in a matter that hurts you. A timely 3 or some tough shots that just take your heart out and at the end of the game you realize damn that guy shot 57%? WTF Very efficient for a SG

Al Jefferson because ppl underrate what he does. He is a top 5 C in my eyes. Big body, great around the rim, tough player, solid on the boards, just does everything that a C should do and does it right.

Honorable mentions: Iggy, Brook Lopez, Loel Deng, and Tony Allen

Martin was 3rd in 3 pointers made and not even top 50 in 3P%, Kevin Martin lost a step or 2 since his Kings days where he would get to the free throw line 12-14 times a game. Good player but not CP3 Great. LAC's deal is better because of the Minny 1st Rounder which could potentially turn into Sullinger, Harrison Barnes, Anthony Davis......+ AFA and Bledsoe(2 young 1st Rounder with tons of upside). While Scola is nice and MArtin is nice there is a whole lot of potential future wise there..

lol no. Wade, Kobe, Manu, Gordon, Iguodala, Mayo, Stephen Jackson, Kevin Martin, Joe Johnson, Monta Ellis, Ray Allen, Jamal Crawford, Jason Terry, etc. etc. He is no where near a top 5 SG

He averaged 9/7 last year. He's not underrated at all...He just hasn't broken out yet.

He averaged like 14 & 10 after the all-star break and posted an 18+ PER for the season along with 6.6 WS and a 120 offensive rating.

Cant think of a SF who plays his minutes , plays lockdown D , comes up with more key defensive plays , and ISN'T an all-star

I like how so many STARS are being listed as underrated in this thread. Really underrated? Probably the Magic's PF Ryan Anderson.

Andrew Bynum by far. The fact that he isn't recognized as the best center in the NBA by far is ridiculous. He is by far the best offensive center, should have won all the DPOY's that Howard has won and has all the intangibles, yet still isn't recognized as the best. Lets not forget his amazing court durability.

Andrew Bynum is making 15 million this year. He sure as heck isn't being underrated by whoever game him that much money.

Chandler is making around the same amount, and Bynum is much better overall than Chandler. Kwame signed with the Dubs for 7 Million, Half of what drew makes and he's not even half the player Drew is. If your at least a serviceable center in this league you get PAID!

Best one yet and im not a spurs fan either. Well i.like the spurs but the bulls are my favriote team. Has anyonever besides a spurs fan ever talked.about blair?!?!?!? The dude is a rebounding machine. Oh and kevin love had a 30 30 game and yet everyone is on griffins balls but almost no one talks about. I actually like griffin more so its kinda ironic lol
