meh, I doubt anyone bids on him. He will end up somewhere for vets minimum at some point during the season.

This is good news. Posey needs to go to a team he can help. Probably would fit in for depth with New York, Miami, Celtics, Lakers... etc

Pacers just free up more cap. Maybe they are looking to sign another big man to bolster their rotation and keep Foster (he is old) healthy. Maybe they just want the extra money to hold onto.

I get why theyre doing it, to make room for West and Mayo...but damn, using your one big amnesty chance on a 6 million expiring still sounds silly. It should always be used for the arenas and turkeyglues of the world....

You only get one amnesty chance for the length of a whole cba agreement. Lets hope if doesnt come back to bite them in the butt a few years from now.

Unlikely, given that they added Battier and still have Mike Miller on their roster. I think the Knicks might make a run at him.

Knicks or Celtics would be great fits for James Posey.

I'm wondering if they are going to have to take on more money than expected with the Mayo trade. If not maybe they are thinking about pursuing Crawford in case the Knicks deal doesn't go through. Or... maybe something completely different is gonna happen.

I think Posey would be a great fit for the Knicks, all he does is shoot threes anyways.

Right now they dont have any other contracts to use it on. We have a lot of young players on rookie contracts.

- Signed foster for 1 year
- Signed West for 2 years
- If traded for Mayo he has a 2 year contract.

Granger is the biggest Contract we have and we are keeping him. I think the plan is taking the cap flexibility into next years FA period. Bird know what kind of hell a bad contract can be (see past 4 years) I think he is adequately planning for the future.

I don't think anybody is going to bid on him. He will most likely sign with a team during the season.

Is Posey any good these days? I don't recall him playing much for the Pacers in the playoffs.

He lost his role on the team after vogel became coach. He wasnt playing well for us. A contender can use his skill set and leadership without him having to play a big role.
