I've posted threads about him before, but I think he makes the most sense out of any trade rumor ive heard so far and he would fit into our style perfectly. He can play both foward posistions, rebound, play NBA DPOTY caliber defense, and can run and score with the best of em. He is athletic as hell and is fun to watch. He is the versitle big man we need and I think we should get on the phone with Atlanta and make an offer.

Would you guy's be in favor of acquiring Josh Smith and if so how much would you give up?

I'd be willing to trade Monte and build around Steph and Smith keep in mind Smith jus turned 26.

Smith made perfect sense when we were a run and gun team. I just don't like him at SF for some reason.

I'm a big fan of Josh Smith, and would like to see him in a Warriors uniform. However, he has a big contract, and I'm not sure what we would do with Dorell. trade Monta for Smith, Sign Arron Afflalo and have Wright backup the 2 and 3? Or start Wright? Smith is a good addition, just like Rudy Gay. i'd prefer Smith since he has a smaller contract (I think). He definitely wants out of Atlanta.

Jackson said we will still be an uptempo team (run and gun) as well as a defensive team (something Smith is good at). Makes alot of sense to me in my opinion.

Aaron Aflalo would be nice but the 2 would defiantly be a weak spot. Maybe sign JR smith to a mid level contract. And what if Klay Thompson is ready to go? Doubtful but I would love to see this
Pg- steph curry
Sg- j.r. Smith/ Klay Thompson
Sf- Josh Smith/ dorrel right
Pf- Lee/ amundson
C- bedrins/udoh

Smith has always been a player that the Warriors should get. Buts it all speculation. Warriors won't go after him, I haven't heard anything about the Hawks, I could see their angle though, wanting to shed salary. Makes sense but they wouldn't want Ellis' contract. Really fun player to watch, but its never going to happen; even though I would love for it to happen.

David Lee cannot be an 80 million dollar sub. we're going to go with Lee at PF and I'm not sure that Josh Smith can legitimately play the 3. And I think JR Smith's contract in China makes it impossible for him to play this year in the NBA. but those things considered, i'd look at a trade for Smith if we could also bring in a SG as well.

why do you want JR..dudes a head case, and doesnt know when to stop shooting three pointers.

i wanted him at one point too. freak athlete, can shoot 3's, dunk..

but after his antics in China, faking injuries, not listening to team officials, complaining about food and traveling conditions..this guy is a douche who thinks hes a superstar, but will never be a #1 option on an NBA team. screw him.

btw...we would run Josh at the 3. either start dorell at the 2, or make him backup the 2 or 3, or trade him in the Smith trade.

i know. :). i realized it was a little confusing so i corrected it. two guys named smith with the same first initial..that would cause chaos in this forum..

I just think JR would be a good fit, aside from the problems. If we could get Afflalo that would be cool

I actually dont think Jr would be a good fit at all, bad attitiude, inconsistant player, and he doesnt add anything we need to monta and curry... even if he is a few inches taller.

he went to China..and has been acting like an arrogant jerk since he arrived..

thinks hes some sort of superstar. now he's trying to find a way back, but they CBA wont let him, or any of the other players..

yeah..I mean really though, they signed a binding contract saying they would do that, and just because they dont like it they're trying to opt out..live with your decisions like a man and keep your word.

my guess is they thought they could go to China and just dominate in hopes of showing they are more than capable of playing..and score a big contract when they come back home.
