Veteran free agent forward Grant Hill has decided to stay in Phoenix, agreeing to a one-year, $6.5 million contract according to Paul Coro of the Arizona Republic.
Hill had interest from several other teams, including the Boston Celtics, New York Knicks, Chicago Bulls and San Antonio Spurs, but opted to stay in Phoenix, where he has played the four seasons.
The 39-year-old Hill played in 80 games for the Suns in 2010-11, starting all of them. He averaged 13.2 points, 4.2 rebounds and shot 48% from the field while consistently drawing the defensive assignment on the opposition's best player.
In four years with the Suns, Hill has missed only 16 of a possible 328 regular season games. The previous six season Hill spent in Orlando were punctuated with serious injury problems allowing him to play in only 200 of a possible 492 regular season games.
