Good signing for the Clippers. They'll be an interesting team to watch this year for sure...

I like Taysaun for them over Butler but this is still a pretty solid move. If they're able to Keep Jordan they're going to be really scary down the road.

this could get them the 8th seed in the west, nice pickup. is he healthy now?

:confused:How are all these teams agreeing to deals with players and what not? I thought deals couldn't be done till tomorrow at 2 p.m.?

I figured this was gonna happen cause I had heard today the Bulls told Jason Richardson that they will sign him.

Wow, if he's healthy, this is a superb addition to LA's core of Mo Williams, Griffin and Gordon.

Here's hoping Sterling doesn't find some way to screw it up by bringing girls into the shower room to ogle Butler or take a hammer to Blake's knee.

Good signing. Alot of his game is holding the ball around 18 feet and then dribbling a few and then a step back brick. Before his injury he was really starting to heat up. I can see him averaging around14 ppg.

Nice. Get a vet PG and this team can make some serious noise. If the Knicks amnesty Billups, he would be a nice addition. Re-Sign Jordan, trade Mo and Kaman for some more pieces.

Clippers are going to the playoffs. They got enough to get their now.

If they are keeping Chris Kaman and he stays healthy, the Clips will be very scary compared to last year....
PG: Mo Williams/ Eric Bledsoe
SG: Eric Gordon
SF: Caron Butler/ Aminu
PF: Blake Griffin
C: Kaman/ Jordan
I think its fair to say they will be in the playoff mix.

8 mil for a sf who can't seem to stay healthy is a good signing? Yeesh. But I guess considering the gaping hole at sf for LAC is wider than Madonna's *****...

Eh they didn't a SF. If he stays healthy this is a good signing.

Good deal for the Clippers, he's better than Aminu and Gomez, plus a former All Star.

OMG! I'm jumping up and down.

I am excited too, since Pike left we have not had a decent SF. Ryan Gomes is horrible, misses open shots, cant pass, one dimensional, Aminu early on was great but he also regressed. Similar to the PG spot, SF has always plagued us. I am happy with the signing since I am glad when we make ANY MOVES cause I remember the years we never did ****...so any move is a positive one to me haha The only thing I am nervous about is his health...

Get some *****

And for people wondering...its like we have no SF. So any SF signing is a good one. Now if we could only get rid of Kaman and Ryan Gomes somehow....get another SF or a backup for blake....

So what's happening with Aminu then?

You'd have to think he'd be involved in any potential deal for Paul.

PG: Mo Williams
SG: Eric Gordon
SF: Caron Butler
PF: Blake Griffen
C: Deandre Jordan

assuming all are healthy, GREAT SIGNING!

The "if he's healthy" part is really big stipulation.

Especially for a guy who's never played 80 games in his entire career.

I'm not bitter about anything.

I still think Caron will be a mistake and I'm happy as hell Bulls didn't pull the trigger on him. But as I mentioned earlier, I guess it makes sense with their hole.

Im glad, I really didnt wan't the Spurs to use their whole MLE on him. Time to rely on youth and maybe someone that fits our system better. I hope we use it on trying to get a big man.

I'm willing to bet we land Josh Howard now, but I pray its for the minimum or just a small part of the MLE.

no, you really aren't funny, and trying too hard to make a come back just makes you look like a douche even more. and a guy with 25K post counts shouldn't talk about padding one's post count, as i see absolutely no quality in yours.

I miss Pike. Loved my man Eric. Never hear as many "BINGO!!!" anymore with him gone. The Clippers fans crying about the signing make me laugh. Like seriously did you forget what a decent SF looks like!? Just doubling the scoring from the SF position from Gomes 7 ppg is going to help TREMENDOUSLY. Not to mention Butler is a physical, solid defender and a capable playmaker, rebounder. My ONLY two concerns are his health..... and his willingness to be a 3rd option when he's always been a 1st and 2nd option.

I'm pretty sure he knows playing with Griffin+Gordon that he needs to defer more. He's a perfect 3rd option for a team though. You know your team is loaded when Mo Williams/Kaman are 4th and 5th options.

Am I the only one who thinks this is a terrible deal?

Nope, I was worried that Bulls would give him MLE for 3 years. On the other hand, with the deals we are already seeing, who knows what a bad deal is anymore.

But apparently every LAC fan is now butt hurt that I said it.

Too much money and not enough players that are worthy. That's why 2-3 years down the line the vast majority of these contracts are deemed bad contracts.

I called this happening a couple years ago when everyone started thinking about last summer and this free agent period and adding up cap space. I really like the move, but I still want cp3 and to do that we'll need to get tyson chandler and yet somehow need to keep deandre jordan but I'm cool with the team as is right now.

we have no problem with differences in opinion. the clipper board has already talked about RJ vs caron in terms of cost vs benefit.

it is you and your speech pattern that comes off ignorant, that we are repulsed by.

As a Clipper fan i'm not as enamored by it like most fans but hopefully i'm proven wrong. I really think Aminu was poised for a big breakout year personally..

Quaron is one of my favorite players ever (I even have autographed allstar game jersey) and I hope he can come back decently.

That said if he doesnt come back all that well he should still be an improvement over glolmes but might hurt the room a little bit

You have no idea how much it hurt to say remotely bad things about Quaron
