There are a lot of rumors and speculation about trades and free agents. Which deals actually get done on Friday. Will there be as many deals as people think on the first day?

If cp3, nene, and d12 all start with their same teams on opening day i'm gonna be so pissed.

All I know is that it was a really bad idea for the NBA to have free agent signings and training camp to start on the same day.

Are you telling me that if a coach has "2 a days" planned on the very first day of training camp, you'll only have like 6 or 7 bodies on the floor because half of your team are free agents and haven't signed with an NBA team yet, so they wouldn't actually be allowed on to the practice floor with the teammates that are already under contract?

I just think it's so stupid for the NBA to go about it like this. For many teams, not having the full amount of bodies is going to be a waste to the start of training camp because of the simultaneous free agent stuff going on.

that would be boring. in season trades are a lot more fun. and there's no way all 3 of them are on new teams by the start of the season.

Caron Butler to the Clips?

this. jeffries to the knicks :sigh:

Looks like Spurs have their replacement. RT @realtuffjuice Just met with Spurs great visit first class all the way....
(@realtuffjuice is Caron Butler)
I think he signs with San Antonio. Looks like SA will once again make some significant moves and be somewhat of a contender again. Caron Butler and Kawi Leonard are solid wings to go along with their core.

Could be interesting to see if the most coveted Free Agents actually decide to resign with their current teams though....

I'm saying if they sign Nene and get some kind of wing whether it be Crawford or maybe Kirilenko, or Battier they easily become a top 5 seed. The question is how all the other top teams come out this year, especially Boston, Orlando, even Atlanta. I don't think we are necessarily "contenders" this year, but make that next step towards becoming contenders.

I would think some teams would like to sign FA's as soon as possible considering training camp starts the same day and would like to start building team chemistry sooner rather than later on the go.

Dwight to The Lakers, Nene to Indy, Chandler to GS, Buttler to Chicago, CP3???

- Dwight to Brooklyn (when do they actually go there)
- CP3 to Clippers or Boston if that horrible trade (from a Boston perspective) is real
- Iggy and Lou Williams get trades somewhere
- Speights gets traded somewhere
- Thad Young gets signed to an offer sheet and it gets matched and stays in Philly
- Nene to Miami
- I think the Bulls will do something interesting but I'm not willing to guess (which is odd because that is all I'm doing here except for the Thad one

One of the Bigs (Nene, Chandler, Gasol, or maybe Dalembert) will sign because some team makes a desperate move and drastically overpays. That will set the market and they will start falling like dominoes.

One thing you have to keep in mind is that all these teams that are really far under the cap have to the within 85% of the cap this year. Some teams may have to overpay some players to make that happen.
