Many say inflation has increased from the 1980's till now but really, inflation doesn't increase that much.


What cost $2,500,000 in 1987 would cost $4,733,746.35 in 2010.
Also, if you were to buy exactly the same products in 2010 and 1987,
they would cost you $2,500,000 and $1,294,818.77 respectively

Why should inflation matter when scrubs who come off the bench make more than guys who are top 5 ever in their peaks.

Magic Johnson
1987-1988 Los Angeles Lakers NBA $2,500,000

Kenyon Dooling
2009-10 New Jersey Nets NBA $3,564,000

I dont care what inflation is, there is no way in hell a scrub who comes off the bench 20 years later should be making the same as Magic did in his prime.

There are a lot of factors, I think it has to do with the increase in revenue as well.
