Hope NYK gets Paul.

Looking forward to some sick playoff series' with NJ/MIA/CHI/NY if that happens.

Why the hell wouldn't people be tripping? He could single-handedly screw up everything the nets have been building up.

because no superstar would sign a 2 year extension with only 4.5% increase when they can get over 40m more with full increase yearly by just waiting another 6 months...if people read a little, they won't trip, now deron has to tweet about it to calm people down, all they had to do is read the little letters everyones in a while...

Yeah, but he'd also be a freaking moron to sign an extension now. He'd be leaving $40 million on the table. If he just waits, he can get the as a free agent.

Deron is making the right move. He can extend for 2, or sign a new deal for 5. It's a no-brainer, though I still don't think he's going to return to NJ.

your right he isnt gonna return to NJ after this yr. he is going to be in the sickest arena in the league, brooklyn.

You're all wrong. He's saying Lebron and Wade will ask to be traded to the Nets, while he goes back to Turkey.

I am glad he sent a response out. So many just assume that meant he wasn't going to re-sign with the Nets. He may not, but it wasn't a sign that he was bolting at all.

Deron mean't exactly what he said the first time. HE IS NOT RESIGNING WITH THE NETS. Sorry Nets fans he's going to force a trade to Orlando and everyone knows it. His tweet is damage control. Do you really think it's only coincidence that he makes this statement a day after players can be contacted, of course he's already spoken with Otis Smith. Dwight wants D-Will and D-Will wants Dwight. For those nets fans who foolishly believe otherwise, do you also believe CP3 made his statement of not resigning because of the new cba agreement. Remember, Dwight didn't say that he WILL NOT resign with the Magic but D-Will DID!!!!!!! O-TOWN BABY bank it!!!!

That makes no sense. How does saying that he WILL NOT return to the Nets attract Howard to the Nets?!!!! What it does is tell Howard get me to Orlando baby my bags are packed.

Hmm Orlando or the fun city of NY. Real tough choice there.

A team strapped with WAY too many bad contracts or a team that is pretty much clean and has a ****load of flexibility. Again, real tough.

Not saying Howard necessarily goes to NJ, but it's MUCH more likely than other way around. Besides, Orlando has **** to offer.

idk why people dont understand. im a nets fan and i support dwill on this. he would have left roughly 60 MILLION on the table if he took the extension. its a no brainer. smart business decision on his part.

plus he is sending a message to nets management. he needs more talent to stay. its not something new. i hope the nets can get howard. both would most likely stay and be together for a long time in BK.

I never understood why everyone automatically marked DWill down to bolt the Nets. I for one am psyched to go see professional ball in my hood and I know I'm not the only one. The Nets are going to be a destination for players.

Are you serious? What does fun city even mean? I live in Brooklyn and there's nothing this place has over Orlando.

Really? They have two which now is ONE with the amnesty clause.

You have no clue.

He's our source of hope! Trust me, if he leaves there will be plenty of "f him" in the Nets forum.

This is where I say he has every right as a player (not to mention economic incentive) to sign the contract he wants, where he wants (within the framework of the rules).

If NY suddenly had two great teams to watch the atmosphere would be amazing.

And back to the point about Deron leaving, after all his years in Utah I think he's pretty happy to be in a city that's booming and metropolitan. Plus, a rivalry with big stars like Amare and Melo will only help his brand that much more.

He's not leaving the Nets.

Yeah Deron is gonna be a Net unless...the Lakers get involved. Either way, this doesn't mean he is done being a Net.
