The Seattle Seahawks will place receiver Sidney Rice on season-ending injured reserve after he suffered his second concussion in less than a month last Sunday, coach Pete Carroll said Wednesday.

Rice came up woozy after making a diving attempt for a pass across the middle in Sunday's 23-17 loss to Washington, a game in which both Rice and Williams were held without a reception.

Got this off ESPN.com.... What a waste of 41 million so far! He didnt do ******* all year.. Wonder if we will pick up a vet?..

Hey fellas I saw this a little bit ago, bad news. That's going to hurt the running game I think. Rice pulls a lot of attention out of the box. Here's the link :

What a predicament. This is going to seriously test Jackson to not have his favorite target on the field. I am, however, excited to see Deon Butler back. I want to see how he looks in action again. Maybe he breaks a long one with that rare speed of his?

We'll have to see! GO SEAHAWKS!!! :D

Tate has been clutch as of late. Maybe he can step up.

I hope he is able to step it up and hope he has learned to run better routes.

LOL I didn't even notice that. Touche, that was proper wasn't it? Either way, I hope he can crank up our offense a little bit by becoming the deep threat that he is.

More speedy receivers on the field will change our offense up.

Exactly, I believe for the better. Pete likes the big plays, which is why they dialed up Darrell Bevell. They didn't have the best passing offense in the league, but they had a good deep passing game with Bernard Berrian, Sidney Rice, Visanthe Shiancoe, and Percy Harvin. It was good enough for them to make it to the playoffs. Now that our running game is up and running finally, maybe teams start respecting the run a little bit more and that will open up our passing game. That has been their design all along. Unfortunately, they also had a healthy-ish Brett Favre tossing the rock around.

Once Tarvaris Jackson gets back up to full health I really do believe he will be able to turn a lot of heads, and sway some of the votes his directions for starting QB. Unfortunately, nobody has any patience anymore, so it's hell to develop a QB nowadays. I think they will draft their QBOTF and Tarvaris will hopefully give the guy a run for his money as far as the starting job goes.

He definitely deserves it considering he had to be patient with the line for them to gain their chemistry, and he paid the cost to be the boss. I hope he gets to see the returns from the investment that his body made.

GO SEAHAWKS!!! :D

I love how bitter some Viking fans are in the main forum i really should stay away from there it really annoys me how they complain about Rice being Greedy when they stole Hutch from us doing the same thing.

Lol! I saw it coming. I have a Madden Curse thing happening. Whenever, I buy a Jersey of a player, something happens to them. Tatupu, Alexander, Rice. Hmmmm... Maybe I should buy a Patrick Willis Jersey :D

He needs to get some separation to get more looks, imho. TJ is not going to take chances trying to throw into small windows, and he shouldn't.

I think Golden Tate is going to step up and make some plays. So far every time they use him this season he has came threw. Looking forward to seeing Deon Bulter back tonight too, hopefully he gets a deep ball thrown his way.. From what it looks like T-Jack his doing really good this week. He was able to throw everyday, thats a plus since he hasnt thrown more than one day since the giants game.

im not bitter, its just business. Rice is always hurt anyways, i am just glad you guys took t-jack away. He has really proven to awful. 6 years in the same offense and he is still clueless. He is the 6th worse rated Qb in the league. You guys are still better then the vikes though so it doesnt matter.

I think this is a fair assessment. Rice is always hurt, but when he's healthy, he's pretty good. TJack isn't the answer, but he's the best we got so far. Hope both our teams have a productive draft.
