Yes it happens every year.

For instance the Sixers in the 1998 had to see the Bulls celebrate collecting their rings.

I don't think you understood, JB. He was asking if the team who lost in the Finals has ever had to watch the team who beat them get their rings right in front of them in next season's opener.

Don't like it. Espn will make it more about Miami than Dallas which is just wrong, but the way their agenda works

Nah and not the other way around either. LA has players the Clippers, Blazers, and Rockets on opening night. TNT usually gives LA the opening night nightcap game for ratings.

No need to feel sorry for them. They deserved what they got. They didn't play Heat basketball in the Finals last year, and Dallas outplayed them. If they don't take this as motivation to do even better, then I don't know what will. We'll see what they have.

Expect both teams to be sloppy though......

Will Miami hold another championship parade before the game?

This will be great. Get our rings, raise our banner, and win the game. Get to show Miami how you actually earn something and it isn't just given to you in July.

lol you're comparing Terry getting a tattoo for inspiration to Lebron Wade and Bosh holding an arena filled celebration for accomplishing nothing at that time and then Lebron claiming they would win 7 championships?

It'll be 6 months since they won it, so its about time.
But for Miami, its like seein an old girlfriend that broke up with you, win miss universe.
It will sting and be awkward but theyll get through it.

I can go on and on.1) I called him out for being a hypocrite about celebrating before the season starts.
2) People swear we didn't make a big deal when Shaq came to Miami (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hh2NUlvrm94). Um, that was also broadcasted all over ESPN, too. Why all the hate now?
3) Maybe you've never been to Miami, but we throw a party for anything. Screw you if you if you have a problem with people being happy.

Thank you, not young anymore though according to the wife :)

Seriously though not many times do folks get to celebrate a championship and for franchises that in he 80s and early 90s were laughing stocks (both of us were for a good while pre riley and cuban) it is good to see them both be successful :)

Good luck to you guys this year :)

So were LeBron and Wade just being happy when they were making fun of Dirk, who by the way is by far a bigger winner/clutch player than both of them combined will ever be?

Yeah, it was broadcasted when Shaq, arguabley the greatest Center of all time was traded to you guys. They didn't hold a parade though.

What a lame *** excuse... Hold a party for anything? LOL can you guys hold a party for the Dolphins winning in 2089?

People would think this is motivation for the Heat, but I'm going to go out of the limb and say Mavs completely dominate the Heat this game.

The Heat are not exactly a team that loves getting motivated from anger, otherwise they would have won the finals last year.

watch the heat go on to win by 30

Even if they do, it doesn't matter. Before '06, and even after, the Mavs were kicking the Heat's tail in the regular season and have had a home winning streak going in Dallas for a long time now.

All that matters is who is holding the championship trophy and who has the rings. Right now that's the Mavs, hopefully it will be the Heat soon.

Dolfan305

If the Heat win, every one will say "who cares, it's just a stupid regular season game, go win an important game etc..". If they lose people will say who much they suck and how important the game was.

lol i love how dallas fans pretend dirk was always a winner and clutch after finally having one great postseason. it wasn't that long ago dirk was being mocked for getting an mvp after choking to golden state in the 1st round. that award presentation was awkward and funny. he's also lost every year before last year in the playoffs despite having good teams so no hes not this great winner like say kobe or something.

hell wade outscored dirk in the finals both times but dirk is "by far a bigger winner/clutch player then him and lebron combined ever will be? haha get real. dirk just finally managed to shed the choker label late in his career (which by the way isn't as good a career as either wade's or lebron's will be).
