Who do you guys think is the NBA version of Tim Tebow? Thought this was a good question 'cause I honestly have no idea.

Hmm... kinda hard to think of anyone who comes to mind. I would have to say Tyler Hansbrough honestly. I'm not homering it either, think about it... Tyler Hansbrough is white, had one of the greatest careers in college sports, made it to the pros with so many doubters, didn't start right off the bat, got a starting gig and showed everybody they were wrong for doubting their skills at the pro level.

Nobody can be the equivalent of Tim Tebow. Not in sports, not in anything.

Can anyone guess who the opposite of Tim Tebow is in the NBA? :D

Jimmer Fredette

This may be true when the season starts....however, shouldn't the comparison of QB liken to a PG. Fredette is a combo guard, but if he had full control of a team it would be a very interesting comparison

Tebow is proud of Jesus Christ. Nothing like a pat on the back from Tim Tebow.

It's probably Fredette but he wasn't really hated.

The most recent college player with this much hype and hate was probably JJ Redick. He just hasn't had the kind of pro career Vitale wanted everyone to believe.

Probably Jimmer. He doesn't play his position the way it's "supposed" to be played (Tebow is basically a RB, Jimmer is more a SG), both have glaring problems (Tebow can't pass, Jimmer can't play defense), they're both white, and they're both very hyped.

Jimmer Fredette

I assume the reason why you picked Jimmer is his affiliation with LDS, let me tell you something, LDS would throw Jimmer out if he was similar in personality to Tebow.

I think if Jimmer Fredette makes a good start and the Jimmermania continues, he's the Tim Tebow of the NBA. He's just so popular and can't seem to do anything wrong (granted, he has yet to play a game, but he immediately came to mind).
