Rajon Rondo hosted a charity basketball event at Harvard on Saturday night. But just hours prior, the Celtics point guard was reportedly involved in a scuffle.
The skirmish occurred at a Lowell night club, during which a Haverhill man was arrested for throwing a punch at Rondo, according to the Lowell Sun.
The incident reportedly took place at about 1:45 a.m. on Saturday at Brian's Ivy Hall, where Rondo was making a paid appearance.
According to the Lowell police, 31-year-old Eric Valarezo attempted to punch Rondo when the event was ending. The club's owners and members of Rondo's entourage, which included Atlanta Hawks forward Josh Smith (Rondo's high school teammate), former Celtics guard Nate Robinson and the Grizzlies' Rudy Gay, reportedly wrestled Valarezo to the ground.
Kevin Hayhurst, co-owner of the night club, told the Sun that Rondo was "unpersonable" and "disrespectful toward patrons," although he's unsure what sparked the fight.
"It was definitely provoked," Valarezo said of the incident. "I wasn't even intoxicated or anything like that."
Valarezo will be arraigned in Lowell District Court on Monday on a misdemeanor disorderly conduct charge.

I think the queation should be, With that baby face, how was Rondo allowed in?
