Didn't see a thread for this conference.

Vandy lost today to Cleveland State.

i didnt see al of the game but in the parts i did see, vandy didnt look good to me

Vandy is a worse version of Florida. They're going to live and die by their outside shooting and the play of one or two big men.

I'm sure they'll bounce back from this loss, but I have to laugh at the people who project them as a Final Four team when they've routinely choked in the tournament year after year.

Florida @ Ohio State about to tip. I keep reading about this "slimmed down" Jared Sullinger. He's still huge.

11-15-2011, 11:02 PM
Don't know a lot about Coastal Carolina, but is LSU that bad that they can't beat them?

11-15-2011, 11:26 PM
Well we lost but we outrebounded a bigger team by 9 and had it not been for turnovers, we would have been right there with them.

Craft's defense is ridiculous and Buford was a stud but Sullinger wasn't that impressive.

How is Beal looking? I didn't watch tonight, but i saw him play in high school.

He struggled a bit with OSU's speed on the perimeter. Craft got the better of him a couple of times. He had 17 points on 6 of 16 shooting (3-7 3PT) but also had a game-high five turnovers. For his first game against a real team on the road, he was ok.

I still think he'll be our best player this year.

They'll probably finish near the bottom but it was a terrible week for the conference.

LSU lost to C.Carolina, SC lost to Elon, Vandy lost to Cleve St, Miss State lost to Akron.

Great game between Bama and Georgetown.

Tough loss for the Tide, but that defense carry them to the Sweet 16 at least.

The Gators are swagged to the max. So many ****ing awesome/confident players. I love this team. Depending on their success, they might go down as one of my favorites. They won't be winning championships or anything, but that doesn't mean I can't like them more than the teams that did.

12-02-2011, 09:31 PM
They're hanging with Syracuse right now. Beal's not looking very good, but Boynton and Walker are balling.

12-02-2011, 11:09 PM
Beal is crashing the boards like a champ (doing a great job replacing Parsons production on the glass from last year), but he hasn't really found his stroke all his season. His release is beautiful but his shot just isn't falling.

Not having Erik Murphy, our only big man with decent touch, also hurt. But when you commit 20 turnovers on the road against a good team you're going to lose regardless.

12-03-2011, 01:45 PM
Murphy will help a lot...this isn't the best we can be. Beal will find his stroke. The Ray Ray comparisons blew my mind, but there is no doubt that he can stroke it. We've hung with OSU and Syracuse now, on the road...there aren't such a thing as moral victories, but there kind of are.

12-03-2011, 02:11 PM
Watching this UK-UNC game...man both teams are stacked.

12-03-2011, 02:29 PM
Yeah, this is a great game, and both teams are ****ing STACKED!

I'm rooting for Kentucky in this match.

12-04-2011, 11:13 PM
Bj Young for Arkansas looks really good.He seems like a score first pg, but that's fine.

12-08-2011, 12:38 AM
Florida battled and ended up coming back to take down Arizona.

I really like that Smith kid, think he had his career game tonight.

12-10-2011, 07:52 PM
Indiana is playing out of their minds right now against Kentucky!

This is a great game!

12-10-2011, 08:11 PM
God 8-13 from long range for Indiana in this game.

As young as Kentucky is, they're bound to hit a few bumps in the road this year. I don't follow Indiana that much, but it looks like they could be on their way back.

12-10-2011, 08:27 PM
Yeah, Indiana is Back in the Mix!

Amazing Finish!

12-10-2011, 08:28 PM
Great finish.

12-10-2011, 08:29 PM
That. Was. ****ing. Beautiful.

12-22-2011, 09:52 PM
I just got hit by a moment of homerism.

I really think Florida can make a run to the Final 4 this year. The tourney is all about 3 point shooting...and the Gators arguably are the best at it in the country. It seems like last year whatever team hit more threes moved on...and Florida can do that. They have a great big man, they have great depth, and they have great shooters. If Boynton, Walker and Beal get hot from three, they're gonna be near impossible to beat.

[/homer thoughts]

12-31-2011, 02:08 PM
MKG likely won't go in the Top 5, but he's the one player I'd bet anything on to have a productive NBA career.

02-11-2012, 04:52 PM

Tough road win for UGA. If only Thompkins stayed another year...

02-12-2012, 02:19 PM
Tennessee took a break from having our number in basketball last year (0-3 against us), but it looks like they got it back this year.

We're disgustingly overrated right now. With Young and Yeguette banged up, our frontcourt is soft as pudding.

03-04-2012, 11:39 PM
Congrats to UK. Hell of a feat.

'Dawgs pulled off a miracle SEC tourney run a few years ago. Hopefully the fans get some kind of drama this week.

03-10-2012, 07:14 PM
**** these refs... 20 to 2 free throw disparity in a game that was extremely physical both ways

and it's not like UF was their normal 3-point-happy selves... they were banging in the paint the whole game

just to reiterate: 20 free throw attempts to 2. what a ****ing joke.

03-11-2012, 02:41 PM
Terrence ****ing Jones!!!!!

03-11-2012, 03:19 PM
Been a long time coming for Stallings and Vandy. Overcame Jenkins' bad 2nd half. Congrats.

'Cats better be careful, Calipari downplayed this conference tourney and it came back to bite 'em.

03-11-2012, 03:22 PM
Jacked up way too many 3's in the first half.

03-11-2012, 04:49 PM
I can finally die happy.

03-11-2012, 05:12 PM
I have a friend who goes to vandy. Shes really happy
