They have a nice young core but Irving needs a good wing player if things go right they have a chance but I doubt they get there this year

They don't have enough depth/talent in the front court. A front court with Varejao, Erden, Harangody, Samuardo Samuels, and Ryan Hollins just isn't gonna get it done. And Jamison is a small forward in my eyes. He can't handle guarding centers and power forwards for the most part.

not even close. I hate to bring up the elephant in the room, but when you let a franchise player walk away after 7 years, and you never had the chance to restock the cupboard, it takes a lot longer than 1 season to rebuild. The Cavs have a couple of nice young pieces, but are still 2-3 years away from being a cellar dweller, even in the east.

You might be talking playoffs, but no one else is.

No. Byron Scott wanted Irving and Thompson as his next version of Paul and West. They are a few years and more pieces away.

As a Cavs fan I surely hope not! If for some grace of god they made the playoffs they would be one and done in the playoffs and stuck in mediocrity with poor drafting position.
The 2012 Draft seems heaftier than 2011. It would be nice if the Cavs grabbed something in the top 10. Or even better top 5!
That's why this lockout needs to end! So they can have a sucky season. Suck for Barnes! Or Suck for Drummond!

X2, I could restate this exact things but I will not. My Wolves are at least and 1-2 years away and have quite a bit more talent than the Cavs, as well as a better coach now.

auto-lotto. probably top 5 pick in the draft next year. Irving isn't the top of player that makes a bad team competitive in the first year.

How is thread open we are talking about arguably the worst team in the NBA last year.

This is a joke right? East is getting too good for these less-talented teams to creep into the playoffs anymore.
