Why even take the risk of exposing Avery to re-entry waivers if you're only going to play him 3:09 between 2 periods???

Why even take the risk of exposing Avery to re-entry waivers if you're only going to play him 3:09 between 2 periods???

We won, so whats the difference? Also, I don't think there was ever any "risk" of losing him. Other teams weren't really interested in him, and he wasn't interested in them either. Plus, Avery had an injury after being sent down, maybe he's not 100% or just not in game shape yet. Either way we beat a team we always have trouble with and if it meant playing some players over others I'm ok with it.

Maybe it's because of all the power play time and because of the fact that Torts doesn't normally play four lines. Was this that much of a shock to anyone? really?

I liked how we looked last night, except for some of the 2nd period. Big goal for Richards too.
