Add one player all-time to your Current Team that fills your biggest need, but also that never won league mvp, finals mvp nor ever won a title nor ever reached the finals..

Example: Bulls (biggest need SG)

Bulls
PG Rose
SG Tmac - Added to Bulls that fits the criteria.
SF Deng
PF Boozer

He did play in 2 nba finals so he doesnt fit the never been in an nba finals. But he was the only center I could think of that never actually won a championship. All of the other great centers one at least one. And of course the Sixers desperately need a center.

But he'd give you defense, rebounds, points, blocks, you name it he can do it and made the HOF (I believe being overshadowed by guys like Wilt and Kareem.

I'm more fond of Nate than I Artis as I do believe that after Russell and Hakeem he's the third greatest defensive C to ever play the game. However. Our biggest problem is a go to scorer and Gilmore being the most efficient scorer in the history of the game fits that perfectly. Thurmond wasn't even better than Dwight on offense. He scored some points sure but that was more on persistence than skill on his part. He'd still dominate in today's NBA however.

I believe in Evan Turner (I expect a big leap in year 2 and a bigger leap into year 3 where he settles into the triple double machine he will become). I think even if we don't trade Iggy we will score more with Jrue taking another step, Evan starting to piece it together, if Iggy's here, and Brand I expect 65 points from our starting 4, Thurmond (he average 15 points a game) puts us at 80 points a game from our starting 5. With Young, Lou, and Meeks on the bench I think we have easily 15 - 20 points a game from our bench putting us at 95 - 100 points minimum with a great defensive squad.

I agree with your analysis but I don't think we need the offense as much as you do.

Well if we're hoping to win with any line-up I think we NEED a go to scorer. Turner isn't Dwyane Wade or Derrick Rose he isn't going to be our best player and go to scorer by his third season. As I said before I love Nate but for our team a great two way big is more needed than a great defensive one with some decent offensive upside.

We'd have to recreate the 04 Pistons if we hope to win with a C that doesn't give you a solid 20 per and quite frankly as good as we are defensively and as GREAT as Nate is we lack some of the pieces.

Man with this amnesty deal it is very much possible. He's already got his money so he could do it strictly for the ring.

The funny part is how everyone says he's pretty much washed up but put him alongside Kobe and I guarantee those same people would be saying "NOT FAIR!"

Arenas couldn't even do anything in Orlando and this with no guards even close to Kobe's level. What do you expect him to do starting with Kobe other than taking shots away from him?

Van Gundy had him backing up horrible Nelson and getting limited minutes off the bench. There's a big difference between that and getting starters burn. And I think Kobe has proven he can play with anybody and still get his shots.....
