Actually he's in pretty good shape. A lot of people thought he'd turn into Eddy Curry because of the lockout. It hasn't happened.

SI.com writer Sam Amick also talked with DMC's trainer about his workout routine during the offseason:

Yet Cousins, who isn't the only NBA player fighting this lockout battle of the bulge that only gets tougher over time, was proud to report that his conditioning is right where he wants it to be. More importantly for Kings fans, his trainer (and countless videos of Cousins looking good in summer exhibition games) corroborates his story.

He's bigger than Dwight. That's the craziest part about this whole thing (Howard is listed at 6-foot-11, 265 pounds while Cousins is currently 6-11 and fluctuating between 285 and 290 pounds). He's bigger than Dwight, man. But I think he'll be with the same cut but a trimmed-down version of himself. In a perfect world, if he's probably 270 (which was his listed weight last season), he's totally unstoppable.

285-290 is pretty much what he was at last year. Not only that, but his jumper looks a lot better.

First guys that came to mind were Baron Davis, Hedo Turkoglu, and Lamar Odom.

The usual suspects that like to play their way into shape.

Aren't Diaw and Turkoglu playing in the Euro league? I thought a lot of Europeans were playing at home until the lockout ended. Those guys will all have a headstart on the season.

Ya he does always look like that. I think it might just be his body type though, I've never really seen him 'out of shape' in terms of being gased on the court or something.

The good thing about Noah is having Thibs as a coach means shape/conditioning should not be an issue and if it is you may find a seat.

I know he (Nene) worked out with Duncan this off season not sure of how many times. But I would think a guy who is a free agent looking to draw a lot of connection would get in good shape in fact would want to improve probably.
