If you grew up playing organized basketball or watched a lot of NCAA/NBA basketball, obeying the fundamentals of the game is a concept that is incessantly talked about. Passing with two hands, moving the ball without dribbling, and not jumping while passing are a few examples. I was wondering if you guys knew of a player that doesn't follow the 'fundamentals' on a regular basis present or past.

The first guy that comes to my mind is Magic. I feel like on the majority of his fast break assists, he jumped in the air. Any one else come to mind?

DRose jumps on tons of plays and passes where he really shouldn't. I'd say Wade does the same, but he's taller and longer so he can see over the D most of the time.

Shawn Marion not releasing the ball from above his head on a jumpshot.

how about Clyde Drexlers jumpshot or dribbling with his head down lol but I always thought Manu Ginobili played like a clumsy fool but he makes it work really well.

Sam Young's pumpfake is unconventional, but it works well. Kevin Martin's release is very weird as well.

Anthony Mason/Shaq and their free throw shooting.

Reggie Miller, to me, looks like he gives himself a "high five" every time he shoots. Great Shooter though, whatever works.

Steve Nash passing game is very unconventional but still the best I've seen since Magic.

Tony Allen on offense is extremely weird to watch, its like watching somebody at the park playing sunday pickup games after a few beers.

Chris Dudley's FT shooting style was certainly unique.

But for all-around offensive game, don't believe any player even comes close to Maravich.

lol at the tony allen comment. As a grizz fan who watched all the games last year, i think your spot on. He looks out of control all the time. It's one of those "no...no....yes!!!" whenever TA has the ball

I immediately thought of Dirk when I read the OP. Nobody shoots like that, but it works for him.

Rose also gets a mention because he constantly leaves his feet to pass the ball. Leads to quite a few turnovers.

Lol definitely! He's unorthodox but for what he brings to the table defensively I would gladly take him on my team!!
