Meaning he was to buy out his contract and leave the game for whatever reason and not play anymore you think the sports world would be happy? After the magic statements I wonder if anyone respect this guy... It's comical at this point I can't remember Anyone getting it like this...the NBA got 8 years out of him that's the average career in the league ...

...i could have sworn he has the best selling jersey in the league.

Just beacuse we fans dislike him, doesn't mean we still don't want to see him falter in the fourth quarter.

Most talked about, most watched, most highly marketed player in the NBA...

This board wouldn't knwo what to do with itself if Lebron left.

I know these are alot of lebron treads but what is there to talk about?... Real talk it's funny to me because I don't quite understand this issue... I never seen this much attention on any player for so long after a incident that was not a crime..

Isnt this your purpose for the other thread, why didnt you just post it there? With your thread title, you would only be inviting "he's quitting yet again" jokes.

Nope not a troll post honest question ... For years we always asked for a unselfish player that passes and not try to shoot over four to give people just to get the glory or be the next mike... Now that we got one a team player we bash them me included... Since I can remember he always wanted to be one of the guys and play a team game.. Are we that desperate for a new mike Jordan?

If Lebron left there'd be 68 daily threads on PSD that went a little like this:

"If Lebron stayed in the league how many rings would he have won"
"If Lebron was still in the NBA, how many more MVPs would he have won?"
"If Lebron was in the NBA, is he a top 5 right now?"
"If Lebron stayed, would his legacy have been better than Jordan/Kobe?"
"What team could use Lebron the most right now, had he stayed in the league?"
"Would Lebron be in the HOF had he stayed?"
"Is Lebron HOF caliber, even while playing 8 seasons only?"

:laugh2: This is a pretty accurate prediction of what the nba forum would look like. Dead on actually IMO.

As much as I dont like the guy, the sports world would be very upset to see him leave. The current Heat are great for the NBA. They may hold an unfair competitive advantage over lesser market teams, but they bring the ratings without a doubt. Since he's not a Knick, I personally could care less if he retired, but it would be very bad for the sport. I will never like Lebron for all the dumb things he's done and said, but the dude gets waaaay too much attention

And when it's said they hold a unfair advantage.. I just don't see it.. The celtics of the 80's was stacked!!! Danny anige was a 11th man!! Walton was on that team.. Magic had worthy perkins Byron elden cambell divac .... That's unfair.. I think wade bosh and lebron looked at it that way in the 80's the team had great players some of them was hall of fame that could still play... Parish Mchale and bird and that was just the front line!! Nobody did it alone I just think some people think lebron could have done it alone in CLE that's why they are mad.

Love or hate him, people want to see Lebron. TV ratings go through the roof when he plays, he's the most polarizing athlete in America, #1 selling jersey, best player in the NBA. He is a great thing for basketball. The NBA board would be dead considering he's all you guys wanna talk about

I must be in the minority then because I don't give a crap about Lebron, if he left the league today I would forget about him tomorrow. There's no lack of talent in the league.

I also want to know, who's wearing those Lebron jerseys? They must be cavs jerseys.

LeBron is on the biggest hate-streak of any player in the NBA.

Just on PSD, he averages 2 hate threads on the first page.

LeBron is on the biggest hate-streak of any player in the NBA.

Just on PSD, he averages 2 hate threads on the first page.

Other players have had it much worse in the past. Once he wins, IF he ever wins, most of the hate will disappear. However, for his sake, he needs to win while playing better than Wade. Because a lot of the hate stems from the fact that he had to run to Wade for help.

Closing this by popular demand. Please do not start a Lebron thread every time you have a thought about Lebron. Thanks.
