The games have received very little attention from FOX and no one is watching the games anymore

no Yankees, no Saux, no Phillies, no ratings.

not saying it should be that way but it does have an affect on the ratings.

Buck needs to stick with 1 sport, and I hope thats football. And there are NO east coast teams, do you honestly think I have seen 1 inning of this crap? No. Btw, the population in the Northeast alone covers the population of almost the entire midwest

Crap? Really dude? The Tigers/Rangers has been pretty tense. If that's not good baseball, I don't know what is.

I'm not sure what you mean by "lose there clearance." Fox pays more than 400M a year to broadcast MLB games. The only way they lose "clearance" is if they decide not to bid on the next MLB contract or get outbid.

Also, more than 6M watched the Tigers/Rangers Saturday night game and it was #1 in its time slot. The numbers aren't Yankees-Red Sox great, but clearly someone is watching.

His name is "True Yankee" and has an Yankees Offseason to do list. To me, that seems like a Yankee fan. But the ALCS has been pretty good. Both games have been very close.

Considering he has an off-season "To do" list for the Yankees, it's safe to say he is a Yankees fan :laugh2:

I'd rather it stay on FOX than TBS!

Although, I think I'm the only person in the world that likes Joe Buck.

Sadly enough, this is probably the correct answer. I have zero proof to back this up, but it seems like the popularity between the the top teams and the mid teams is a much bigger drop than it is in the other sports.

I would rather lose ratings than have to watch the same annoying teams every year. If that means baseball is doomed, then so be it.

I was definitely referring to McPeak92. I saw his comment about No Phillies, No Yanks, No Saux and assumed it was about that.

After 16,000 some posts it should also be pretty obvious I either
A) Wasn't referring to TrueYankee
or
B) Was being highly sarcastic

- TrueYankee makes a post
- SFrush90 quotes TrueYankees post
- Jack of Blades quotes SFrush90's post and is still referring to TrueYankee
- You quote Jack of Blades post and say "Pretty sure he's a Phillies fan, and he has a point."

How does 16,000+ posts make it clear you were not referring to TrueYankee?

I don't think he sucks. I think he's quite good and one of the smartest play by play men in the game. I love his voice and I love how he knows when to just shut up and let the moment take over. Last night when Cruz hit the walkoff was a prime example of him stepping back and letting the audience enjoy the moment.

I've probably watched over 100 Phillies games this year, but I have like zero knowledge of what goes on in the rest of the MLB universe. And that translates to having zero interest in the rest of the playoffs.

It was clear to me what was going on while reading the thread...but I can see how it would be confusing.

Either way I think this is all a little nitty.

the casual fan just doesnt care about the rangers or detroit. If the yankess sox or another bigger team is in it people watch to see them loose if anything not to mention there are so many more yankees and redsox fans overall.

That's a pretty good reason to have the same teams in it every year. Screw over tons of hard core baseball fans and cater to the casuals. Hell, just play the regular season for ***** and giggles and regardless of what happens, just have the Red Sox and Yankees play in the World Series every year.

Thats not my view ill watch any game but its true for most casual fans and its hard to argue.
