1 -- Kobe Bryant - nobody's clutcher

2 -- Hakeem Olajuwon - tough one, they are pretty even, like Hakeem better

3 -- Julius Erving better all around

4 -- Dirk Nowitzki - best Euro ever

5 -- Gary Payton - give the edge to the Glove for his defense

6 -- Clyde Drexler - may be biased but he was my dad's favourite growing up

7 -- Shaquille O'neal - tough comparison, different era's I'll give the edge to shaq

8 -- Isiah Thomas - better all around player

9 -- Dominique Wilkins - more exciting

10 -- Grant Hill - woulda been a beast if he never got hurt

11 -- Steve Nash - I'm Canadian eh.

12 -- Allen Iverson - quite possibly the quickest pure scorer of all timee

13 -- Dwight Howard - not even close IMO

14 -- Kevin Garnett - when it comes to big or small of same caliber you gotta go with the big

15 -- David Robinson - same situation, Lebron is overhyped, plus #50 was my fav growing up

16 -- Vince Carter - VC was unreal in his prime

1 -- Kobe Bryant or Larry Bird But this a a tough one.

2 -- Hakeem Olajuwon or Tim Duncan Another tough one.

3 -- Julius Erving or Moses Malone

4 -- Charles Barkley or Dirk Nowitzki Maybe the toughest yet. CB was beachin.

5 -- Chris Paul or Gary Payton

6 -- John Havlicek or Clyde Drexler I pretty much didn't really pick. With all due respect to two great players, if these are the franchise players the franchise is probably not doing too well.

7 -- Shaquille O'neal or Wilt Chamberlain Not even close

8 -- Isiah Thomas or Rick Barry

9 -- Dominique Wilkins or Bernard King If BK did not get hurt ... simply unstoppable

10 -- Tracy Mcgrady or Grant Hill

11 -- Jason Kidd or Steve Nash

12 -- Kevin Johnson or Allen Iverson

13 -- Dwight Howard or Walt Frazier

14 -- Kevin Garnett or Dwyane Wade

15 -- Lebron James or David Robinson Lebron or David Robinson? Really?

16 -- Sam Jones or Vince Carter

one strange list of choices.

1 -- Kobe Bryant or Larry Bird - better defensive player, better all around game
2 -- Hakeem Olajuwon or Tim Duncan - longer, more athletic and more versatile on both ends of the floor
3 -- Julius Erving or Moses Malone - different positions, but Malone is just a better player, period
4 -- Charles Barkley or Dirk Nowitzki - tough one, but Barkley had two skills... scoring and rebounding and he was a fierce competitor
5 -- Chris Paul or Gary Payton - another tough one, but I think Paul's career will eventually eclipse Payton as Paul has put up some of the greatest statistical seasons of any PG and really hasn't had much of a team yet
6 -- John Havlicek or Clyde Drexler - Havlicek willed his teams to championships and Drexler was notorious for disappearing in the postseason as a No. 1
7 -- Shaquille O'neal or Wilt Chamberlain - Shaq proved it in the postseason and Wilt didn't IMO
8 -- Isiah Thomas or Rick Barry - Barry was the better scorer, but Isiah was a superior distributor and won two titles, willing the Pistons to championships over young Jordan
9 -- Dominique Wilkins or Bernard King - both were deadly scorers and neither accomplished anything in the postseason, but Wilkins lasted longer
10 -- Tracy Mcgrady or Grant Hill - McGrady's best seasons were among the greatest of any perimeter players in NBA history; Hill is the better defender but has only one comparable season to T-Mac before injuries took their toll
11 -- Jason Kidd or Steve Nash - I really wanted to go Nash here, but Kidd's combination of elite defense and distribution made it too difficult... Nash was a better scorer, though... a coin flip
12 -- Kevin Johnson or Allen Iverson - Johnson was a great scorer and point guard, but Iverson was consistently considered one of the most deadly scorers and a top 5 player for a good portion of his career
13 -- Dwight Howard or Walt Frazier - I'm going Walt now if only because we don't have enough sample size from Dwight just yet. If he continues to improve his offensive game, I think Dwight would be the guy to take.
14 -- Kevin Garnett or Dwyane Wade - Garnett toiled away on mediocre teams for years, but was an elite defensive big man and scorer. Wade's injuries make me concerned how much longer he'll last.
15 -- Lebron James or David Robinson - Both are athletic freaks, but Lebron is a once in a lifetime talent who has yet to scratch the surface. He will win multiple championships as a No. 1. Robinson did not.
16 -- Sam Jones or Vince Carter - Jones was the No. 1 or No. 2 option on 10 freakin' championship teams. VC sure does dunk well. This is the easiest one to pick, by far...

I'm really curious why so many people picked King over Wilkins. Wilkins was better for longer and King's numbers were never significantly better than Wilkins during their primes. I would actually give Wilkins the edge in prime and longevity... I also question the Hill over T-Mac responses.

Grant Hill's injury was some what of a freak thing, and then the recovery was botched runing what was on track to be a hall of fame career, so in this type of thing I'd start a franchise with Hill because his injury plagued career is not a huge risk, he was not predisposed like Oden, Sam bowie, or Walton.

Hill had the heart, and was a smarter player, and pre injury was the better player. A lot of people do not remember the Detroit Pistons Hill, had he not gotten injured top ten all time was not out of the question. Over time Mcgradey proved himself to be a great talent, but always missing the spark of greatness.

Lucky.

1 -- Kobe Bryant or Larry Bird - Better scorer and defender.

2 -- Hakeem Olajuwon or Tim Duncan - Best PF of all time, this is basically a toss-up.

3 -- Julius Erving or Moses Malone - Give me the 2-way dominant big.

4 -- Charles Barkley or Dirk Nowitzki - Dirk proved he can win.

5 -- Chris Paul or Gary Payton - Chris Paul when healthy is in discussion for top 5 PG of all time.

6 -- John Havlicek or Clyde Drexler - Very underrated player in Drexler. Don't like Celtics players except a few.

7 -- Shaquille O'neal or Wilt Chamberlain - This was tough but I prefer Shaq over Wilt. Don't know for sure how Wilt's game would translate to today's game.

8 -- Isiah Thomas or Rick Barry - I like Isiah's enormous heart and passion he has for the game.

9 -- Dominique Wilkins or Bernard King - Flashier name.

10 -- Tracy Mcgrady or Grant Hill - He had all the potential in the world to be an all time great.

11 -- Jason Kidd or Steve Nash - Kidd's defense does it for me.

12 -- Kevin Johnson or Allen Iverson - Always been a fan of K.J.

13 -- Dwight Howard or Walt Frazier - Big over small.

14 -- Kevin Garnett or Dwyane Wade - Garnett was so dominant, he just needed some help to win.

15 -- Lebron James or David Robinson - I would go big over small but Lebron is not a PG, though he can play it. Just too dominant.

16 -- Sam Jones or Vince Carter - One of the few Celtics I like. I don't know if Carter would stay with my franchise long.

1 -- Kobe Bryant or Larry Bird - Bird, first he was a considerably better player, more clutch, harder worker, and better defender, but I wouldn't take Kobe for the league minimum over someone in a wheel chair anyway.

2 -- Hakeem Olajuwon or Tim Duncan - Tough one, depends on the make up of the team but without knowing the teammates Duncan is going to get everyone involved and truly make everyone around him better. I do think Olajuwon is a hair better of a player but not as humble or unselfish (not saying he is selfish) as Duncan.

3 -- Julius Erving or Moses Malone - I think Dr. J gets more attention and is the bigger name but I think Moses was the better player just not as flashy or dynamic.

4 -- Charles Barkley or Dirk Nowitzki - Dirk is a great player but I think many fans and experts made him out to be better then he is when he got the title. He is a HOF'er but a ring doesn't make you jump 20 - 30 spots on the all time list.

5 -- Chris Paul or Gary Payton - Paul is the better player and we haven't really seen his career yet but I go with Payton because I want a player that I trust to stay healthy over one that I know will get injured.

6 -- John Havlicek or Clyde Drexler - I really really want to go with Drexler here and I think and the peak Drexler was better but I think long term and without the right players around him Havlicek is better.

7 -- Shaquille O'neal or Wilt Chamberlain - Wilt the Stilt hands down with all due respect to Shaq, I just think Wilt was more dominant and he did it with skill where Shaq did a lot with sure mass.

8 -- Isiah Thomas or Rick Barry - I want to pick Rick because I don't like Isiah but he is the second best little man to play ever

9 -- Dominique Wilkins or Bernard King - Dominique was more dominant, King may been been more well rounded but Dominique was something to see. (although I mean on highlights I'm a hair to young to remember watching him)

10 -- Tracy Mcgrady or Grant Hill - McGrady one of the most overrated players in league history, he was at best a borderline HOF'er when healthy. Grant Hill would have been a top 5 - 10 player all time if healthy.

11 -- Jason Kidd or Steve Nash - See Grant Hill but ignore the McGrady portion this time.

12 -- Kevin Johnson or Allen Iverson - best little man in league history but people don't give him the credit he deserves because of his personality and legal trouble, they would rather mock him then imbrace the magic he created. Iverson maybe the most exciting dynamic player in league history and one of the toughest, he played through so many injuries often with 3 or 4 at a time any of which would get most players to sit and dominated. If he won the title in 2000 - 01 season then he would be embraced as a top 10 all time player because to many people value the ring over the player contributions and skill. I also can't think of anyone not named Jordan that fills opposing arenas like Iverson.

13 -- Dwight Howard or Walt Frazier - Maybe in 10 years I'll change my mind.

14 -- Kevin Garnett or Dwyane Wade - I want to pick Wade but Garnett might be the best ever at his position.

15 -- Lebron James or David Robinson - Is one of the best players to ever put on a uniform but like Iverson people would rather hate him, mock him, and focus on one or two things then actually the player

16 -- Sam Jones or Vince Carter - Vince Carter could dunk really really well, Sam Jones could play basketball.

The Duncan and Hakeem matchup is interesting and the vote is split as well.
