This is an underrated series. Most people have the Brewers taking it rather easily. I agree they are the better team with a more potent offense and deeper pitching staff. That being said, in this 5 game series, I have some weird feeling that the D-Backs will pull this out in 5.

Brewers take it but it will be a good series. I think the Brew Crew just has to much fire power on offense.

These teams are pretty evenly matched to be honest. I wouldn't be surprised with either team winning the series.

I just posted this in another thread, but my cousin pitches for the Diamondbacks - I'm pulling for Arizona but am expecting a Milwaukee series win.

The Diamondbacks 1 and 2 can match up with anybody in baseball and they can hit. The Brewers are my pick for the NL pennant, but I wouldn't be completely shocked if the Dbacks knock them out.

Still: Brewers in 4

Most people have them winning it easily? Who is most people? I agree many people expect them to win because they have home field and they are the best home team, but most are expecting a 4 or 5 game series.

What is a lot of people? 3..4..? The postseason is a different season. You can't label a team as an underdog. The Phillies had a way better season then the Cardinals, but who is the hotter team right now...That plays a huge role and Arizona and the Brewers play nearly the same. It's an even series, and anywhere the Brewers may take the edge (hitting, pitching) they give it away in defense.

This will be a tough series. Im not going to comment much because I rarely follow these teams. All I know is D-backs have Kennedy but Brewers have Gallardo/Greinke.

I voted Brewers in 4. Good luck both teams

Brewers fan here and I am nervous about the matchup. Kennedy and Hudson are the exact type of pitcher that the Brewers struggle against, but I still take the Brewers in 5. Home team wins each home game.

A few notes from those who don't follow the Brewers all that closely.

-They use a strict r/l platoon in center field with Carlos Gomez and Nyjer Morgan
- Jerry Hairston Jr is likely the starting third basemen for the Brewers and not Casey McGehee
-George Kottaras (back up catcher) would catch Randy Wolf if he pitches in this series
-Takashi Saito and Latroy Hawkins share 7th inning duties. Saito is unlikely to be used on back to back days.

I think its easy to say the Brewers as many "experts" seem to think that way. And don't get me wrong, the Brewers are a great team with some awesome pitching, but I just have a feeling that the Dbacks are gonna take this in 5. Their pitching is pretty solid as well and with some injuries on the Brewers it may bite them a bit. Also I think their lackluster defense will really show through in this series. It all comes down to the Dbacks starters though.

Dbacks in 5. Only if Kennedy and Hudson pitch as well as they have all year. Without them Brewers cruise.

Great series, Kennedy has the edge vs Gallardo. Grenkie has a slight edge vs hudson. ANd marcum is better then Saunders(i assum he is the 3rd starter) I like collimenter but I dont think he will start. Bullpen is close but I give ari a slight edge. Brewers have the hitting But upton can carry ARI. I predict Ari in 5 I hope it happens I still a big fan Of Kennedy! go DBACK Upton for mvp :P

He didn't pitch all that badly. The way the Brewers offense goes 8 hits and 4 runs isn't bad. He had a good year and should be considered a Cy Young candidate.

Kennedy is good, but a coulpe of those runs could have been avoided
shouldnt have pitched to Lucroy or Fielder imo

they could still be playing

it was bound to happen that a brewer unloads
