OMG is this kid legit. Looks like the next Shaquille O'Neal but with better dribbling skills and shooting touch. - If he comes out next year and there is no season this year will the Lottery be the same? If that's the case - will Cleveland get the number 1 pick again or will they redo the draft lottery? Watch this video - it's sick.

He reminds me more of Amare. He has great potential, he can be a force in the league. I would like him to spend one extra year in college thogh. Come to the NBA well developed. Tired of these 1 year college kids.

Actually he reminds me of a young Chris Webber (high school days and college days). Love this kid's game. Please end up being a Piston!

No disrespect to Knicks fans - but this kid will be better than Amare Stoudemire.

His idol is Dwight Howard and he models his game after D12 so maybe if he bulks up and grows another inch or two he could challenge his idol

This is the best high school basketball prospect I've seen since Lebron (and I've been watching basketball since 1986). This kid will be special - guarantee it.

What I like about him is he does so much more than just dunk the ball. Dwight Howard can't even say that. This kid looks good in every aspect of the game.

At this point yes. By draft time NO!

We got lucky getting Brandon Knight at 8. Decent player considering.

very eerie similar to amare's game.

maybe he can develop into a slightly better version of him.

I think he's a mix of Amare and Hakeem. He's got that soft touch, great dribble/footwork, and he's insanely athletic.

I may be alone on this - but I honestly see his ceiling higher than Amare's??

This draft is going to be deep. Damn. The lottery is stacked. It will be interesting to see how this guy matches up against the other high profile bigs.

Projected top 3 pick. Has a lot of skill and talent. I don't want to say hes raw, but definitely has a lot of potential. He is supposedly very talented and naturally gifted. If he comes into the NBA and is willing to learn he could possibly be the best C in the league.

This draft is stacked. Great year to get a top 10 pick. Even after that, the players look good.

I'm watching some of his highlights and I'm pretty amazed. Granted its highlights and only show him at his best, but hes a 6'10 guy (probably still growing) whos a PF/C and is smooth like a SF.

Your definitely not alone... His ceiling imo is closer to Dwight with KG like passing ability, Durant like handles, and Amare like j

I'd be quite happy for the Sixers to be awful for a season to have a chance at this guy or Harrison Barnes.

so if he reaches his ceiling he will be one of the top 5 players ever?

i think alot of people would want to tank for 1 year to get one of these guys :)

I got a feeling there might be quite a few bad teams deactivating players the last 15-20 games, let their records slip, try to move up in this draft. Whoever lands Drummond will be very lucky.

Most players dont reach their ceilings... however on his athletic and passing skills alone he has the potential to be better than Dwight if they convert him to a C in the NBA

If u see good teams tanking this year (assuming there's a season) then you know why. :)

The kid looks like he has some really good talent, his game looks like D12 but with a little of shaq passing skills. I can also see why people say stat 2.0 but I think this kid game is more like Howard.

dude, he looks like he is gonna be good but shaq good? chill out. u are in the moment. go re watch some clips of shaq when he was in college or as a rook in the nba. u disrespected shaq.

this is the perfect example on man amongst boys. Kid would surpass Any big in the league if he has the work ethic. 2012 could probably rival 2003 and if the knicks are lucky and there's no season and they go off the success of the team for the pass 5 years for the 2012 draft we could get a top 5 pick and keep it.

He is more of a tweener at this point, more of a PF then a C. Shows a nice offensive repertoire however. i want to see his defensive game before I label him as anything. Jonas Valanciunas would eat his lunch in the post.

FIBA U-19 MVP baby you know what it is. what has Drummond done? Oh right, he's got a high school mix-tape so he must be amazing.

I think you guys are caught up in the moment here just a bit.

He's going to be an Amare Stoudemire/Blake Griffin type.. no doubt.. but Dwight Howard ??? Shaq ???? Hakeem !??!

From wut ive seen, hes a terrible post defender and will be known more for weak side blocks and rebounding. Offensively he will probably be a phenom like Amare and Blake.. there will never be centers like Shaq or Dwight Howard for a long timee...

I've been watching this kid for 2 years. And after the Shaq comment, a few posts later I clearly said he's more like a young Chris Webber. Chill out.

Laughing a bit at the Shaq comparison.

Agree with the Amare comparison.

He actually looks more like DeAndre Jordan did in high school than anyone else imo.

I like the Amar'e comparison, he's a freak athletically. He's definitely got D12's power inside, but he's really not playing against guys capable of matching up with him. Nerlens Noel (one of the top 2013 guys) played with him in the paint defensively on a few occasions. As much as I hate UConn, Calhoun may be able to do some good things for Drummond- specifically answering questions about his motor. Having Oriakhi to rely on in the post as well may let him develop his perimeter skills a little more.

I heard it was Michael Bradley's turn to dunk and Drummond just took the ball away from him.

I kid, I kid. The guy's inside game is already stellar. Having the athleticism to dunk like that on top of it is just frightening.
