View Full Version : If the UAW and GM can make a labor agreement, why can't the NBA???

There can't be a longer running labor dispute in this country than the UAW and car manufacturers.
If THESE guys can work in this lame economy, why can't the owners, large and small market ;and players get serious ,too? The wide open $$$$$$$$ making freewheeling 90's and 00's are over.
I mean, I am really starting to get pissed over the lack of progress. I've tied up a rather large sum of $$$ to stay a season ticket holder but my biggest gripe is I JUST WANT MY NBA !!!!!

dont worry there will be a season. the nba loses more money with a cancled season. they need to have a season. eventually the majority owners will out vote the minority owners and a deal will be reached. hold on to your season seats

If UAW and GM had agreed at some point, it just don't happen to some other car manufacturing companies. Nissan and UAW are having difficulty getting along. Although the UAW wants necessary corrections from their violation of workers rights, Nissan strongly denies UAW (http://www.cardealexpert.com/news-information/auto-news/uaw-nissan-canton-miss/) claims that Nissan has threatened to close Canton, Miss., plant.
