I heard you only needed to score points and do it in a flashy way, he seems to be the best at that.

Well you heard wrong. :p

He can... but not any time soon.

Karl Malone did it twice. As long as the Clips win, Blake will get an MVP.

He could win MVP, he also could be run over by a bus!

He could. Its possible. But id like to see the clips make it to the playoffs first.

What does Karl Malone have to do with this?

the question is how many

Definitely. Mvp trophy loves to find it's way to players that turn around the culture of a team.

As was said, clips win, blake's got a great chance down the road.

If your referencing Derrick Rose's MVP, he put them on his back last year and most definitely deserved it.

He is not a well rounded player, he can rebound and dunk and work hard but that is it.

Kobe might have one left, Lebron, Wade, Dirk, Duncan might have one left, CP3 if healthy, Rose (I don't think he wins another though), Durant, and if the Knicks surprise me and prove me wrong then Amare and Melo and I'm sure there are guys I'm not thinking of.

To many players that are true superstars and not Sports Center stars ahead of him.

Why make a topic if you don't want people to discuss it? Kind of a waste of your own time more then anything else.

Sure, they gave him the Slam Dunk Contest.

No, not next season that's for sure. The Clippers are a 35-40 win team and that will not get him an MVP no matter how good his numbers are, not when there are players like Durant, Lebron, Wade etc who's numbers are just as good or better and their teams will most likely have 55+ wins

Great point. He probably only needs to break .500 and reach the playoffs for the award to be his.

Blake has never seemed like a very good team leader to me. That's what he needs to fix in order to win mvp imo. Thats a big reason of why Rose won it.

He needs to show a killer menatlity, demand the ball at the end of games, finish those games and keep his team winning despite injuries.

When Eric went down last year the Clips crumbled. I feel like Blake is a #2 right now and not a #1.

What does Karl Malone have to do with this?

They are similar players and I believe Blake can put up number like Malone did.

What does Karl Malone have to do with this?

He brought up Malone, because they are both pretty similiar in their style of play...both athletic freaks.

About Griffin winning a MVP, I don't see why not?

Dwight howard should win MVP before griffen even sniffs that honor!

If his numbers get better and the Clippers chase 60 wins, then yes. Otherwise... nope.

D-Will leads the Nets to a 50+ win record and wins MVP.

And Dwayne Wade should have won before Rose, but just because they've played longer and done more, doesn't mean they will. The MVP award is as much about timing as what one has accomplished. It is an award about the season, not past seasons. And it generally goes to the player who helps his team perform best while posting great numbers, and if Griffen helps the Clippers to a big turnaround while the Magic end up settling for 3rd or 4th, Howard will have a hard time winning the award. Not that he doesn't deserve it, but its just how things go.

If he scores a lot of points & the clips magically end up with the best record in the NBA then its possible. But he isn't a good enough defensive player IMO to warrant an MVP trophy just yet.

If the Clips start winning he can def be a legit MVP candidate

Never happen because mvp doesn't mean the best player in the league anymore. Its now turned into "best player on the team with the best record." Unless the CLipps start dominating the league I can't see it happening....

If they do some winning. If Derrick Rose could win MVP I'm sure Griff can.

He can and he will... and when all is said and done I believe he will be the true "Chosen One".

His demeaner is more similar to MJ than Lebron, Rose or Dwight (my three other future MVP candidates).
Also people actually like him... and he is not socially awkward/cocky in his interviews. Public opinion/media have just as much to do with the award as talent.

he reminds me more of Vince Carter & the league tried to replicate the same route to fame for Blake as Vince took. Both exciting dunkers whom won ROY. Both won the Slam Dunk contest. Difference being Blake was put into the AS game as a rookie Vince wasn't. Also, Blake won the dunk contest by rigging & Vince won it naturally:p

People think Griffin can only score and be flashy?

Must be still crying over a dunk contest to try to sound smart.
