View Full Version : If the Heat fail again next season......(if there is one)

Do you think the Heat will break up the Miami trio of Bosh, Wade, and LeBron? Or at least trade one of them......preferably either Wade or LeBron away? How many more seasons of failure will it take to break them up?

Hmmm.....

It's tough to tell man honestly. Obviously if Dwight Howard was offered for LeBron, you bet Pat Riley would consider it, but it's way too early for a question like this. Probably should wait a couple more seasons and see how it goes before anyone can really answer this. But for the sake of answering, I don't think this team will ever break up.

It's not a matter of need it's a matter of want. Do you WANT Howard on the Heat? If so, an offer of bosh + picks won't get it done.

From what I'm hearing it sounds like Heat fans don't want Dwight. I think that's stupid actually, if you were to take bias and passion out of the equation trading Wade + Bosh for Dwight would be amazing. Wade is aging anyway...Lebron and Dwight are young and the two most dominant players in the league at their positions. I know the Heat came close to a chip last season but do you really think a duo of Lebron/Dwight would do any worse?

I doubt it.

It depends on how they lose. If they are abused downlow, then a Lebron for Howard deal makes sense.
If it's their depth, then maybe trade one of Wade or Bosh for pieces that'll fill in the blanks (Wade for Gortat, Dudley and change or something along those lines).

non-heat fans, please stop proposing Wade trades. You clearly have no idea what he means to this franchise/city. He's untouchable. He gets traded and we riot. Pat knows that. This isn't 2K11.

You also can't really trade Lebron and expect to get fair value in return. Riley would have to hang up any phone call that doesn't start with "Dwight", and even then he'd have to think about it really hard. Don't underestimate the franchise's loyalty to these superstars that took paycuts to come here. Sending Lebron into another situation where he's a 1-man army would be really F'ed up. Also, him and Wade are good friends, 2 of the best players in the NBA, and huge draws for merchandise, attendance, etc. (the most important being the bolded part)

By default, Bosh is the odd man out if the Heat decides they need to break up the big 3, but I don't see it happening within the next 2 years. Unless of course the new cba takes it out of our control.

Not touchy at all, just stating reality. You're free to hate them all you like. Weren't you the one who stated in an above post that without some hatred and rivalry, sports wouldn't anywhere near as fun? You're right on there. I just found it funny how people like to rehash old nonsense, even when they know it wasn't anything too serious. Those guys are committed to the team. I don't see why they would break it up as they did so well last season. Compared to Boston 08, sure they didn't win. But KG, Pierce, & Allen were further into their careers than Heat's 3. If they don't win a championship in the next 2 or 3 years then they might have a problem.

I wish MODs would be a little more active here. They seriously need to check this OP's history. He clearly has agendas of disrupting the forum with unnecessary LeBron hate threads (as his thread making history shows). This is a complete pointless thread here because this topic has been discussed plenty of times here. Why not just post a link of one of those threads here for the sake of OP and then just close this one?

You should cry a little more.

Why the face palm? Making it to the finals as a team in their first year together is a success.

I'm sure their expectation was to make the finals and nothing more.
