Jsut check any top 10 ever list.

more thana half of the players will be centers.

The greatest is the Center position no doubt. There's more C's in the top 10 than anything. There's just so many ways that the big guys can influence the game on both ends.

most talent overall is in smaller players... so I say either point guard or shooting guard?

Arguably 5 of the top 10 to ever play the game were Centers. Nuff said

And 4 centers have serious cases for being in top 5. (Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Wilt Chamberlain, Bill Russell, Shaquile O'neal).
