View Full Version : Build your ideal NBA player

RevisIsland
08-24-2011, 04:35 PM
Ok here's the goal. Taking ONE part from several different players, build your ideal NBA player. Qualities include: body/build, speed/quickness, shot, mentality, intelligence, passing ability, one perimeter move, one post move, and work ethic (after all, there's no such thing as the PERFECT player). You can take only one part per player. Go:

Body/build: LeBron James

Speed/quickness: Allen Iverson

Shot: Reggie Miller

Mentality: Michael Jordan

Intelligence: Steve Nash

Passing ability: Magic Johnson

Post move: Hakeem's dream shake

Perimeter move: Kobe's fadeaway (I would have taken MJ's, but he was already used)

Work Ethic: Larry Bird.

Build your ideal player.

Speed/quickness: John Wall (might be the fastest/quickest player in the game)

Shot: Ray Allen (most 3pt shots made ever, super clutch)

Intelligence: Steve Nash (always knows what to do)

Passing ability: Rajon Rondo (can get all teammates involved)

Post move: Dirk's short fadeaway (practically unguardable)

Perimeter move: D-Wade's step-back jumper (hard to stop, makes people look silly)

Work Ethic: Kobe Bryant (first one in the gym, last one out)

My ideal NBA player is 6'6", 200 pounds with about 5 percent body fat and massive calves. He entered the NBA after two years of college, earning his associate's degree in Mathematics from the Univeristy of Kentucky while playing two years with the Wildcats.
He is from Alma, Colo. and his parents were both Olympic gymnasts and dancers.
He started playing basketball when he was 5 years old. In school, he played soccer in the fall, basketball in the winter and ran track and field in the spring, all while lifting weights and trail running. Over the summer, he likes to hike, cycle, trail run and practice his jumper.
He's a combo guard who values making his teammates better the most, only taking over if he needs to. He drives to the hoop before taking a jumper and loves drawing fouls.
Oh yeah... he loves yoga, too.

Take LeBron's body and athleticism and put in Kobe Bryant's shot, skills, and winning mentality.

LeBron is a waste of such an amazing body, he could be so much better if he actually worked on his game instead of just driving into the lane and hoping for the best.
