3 hour workout with the black mamba complete. Now I know why he is one of the best players to ever play this game.

You can't knock this kids work ethic because Kobe puts in some serious work.

Nice. Good job Kobe. That's how the seniors should mentor the youngsters.

Good to see the young players on the Wolves doing this. Wes J has been working out with Kobe a solid amount as well.

Wes Johnson has been training with him as well. I, as a Wolves fan, couldn't be happier. There is no harder working, better prepared player than Kobe Bryant actively playing

I don't know what he is working on with Kobe, but this should help him transition into the SF role, if the Wolves want to give him some time there. I read Kobe was practicing Dirk's one legged fade away, i wonder if Williams will try and add that also. that shot is unguardable.

Its unguardable when you are 7 feet tall and release the ball directly above your head....

But yes, if he is just working with him on perimeter oriented offensve moves, that will be a huge help. And I always think its great when a young player sees how hard a guy like Kobe works to be as good as he is.

That is true, but Kobe and Williams won't have 7 footers guarding them like Dirk does, they will be guarded by SF's and SG's (Kobe) and Sf's and PF's (Williams).

Beasley doesn't train.

Wes and Dwill? This is a very good thing, looks like Kobe wants to be on the Twolves :D

good for him though, working out with the black mamba has to be a great experience for a young player. You practice with the best you will get better.

Derrick Williams was the best prospect coming into the draft, and I believe he's in the mold to be a more complete version of Danny Granger.

he isn't the athlete Iggy is imo. Granger seems a great comparison if he can continue to improve his perimeter skills.

yeah thats true, ive heard that his defense could be very good one day, compared him to Iggy in that aspect when he was introduced the day after the draft.

wow.. granger is almost the perfect comparison.. if williams turns out to be just as good as granger then i would consider that to be mission accomplished. im not expecting any more out of him. the wolves need to get rid of beasley.. trade him for some really good role players. a center or a defensive stopper.

here is your core..

rubio
wes johnson
williams
love

build around that..

Kobe is the ideal mentor for any player who wants to become a superstar. I recommend everyone pick up Chris Ballard's book and read the Kobe chapter. Couldn't put it down.

GREATNESS ONE

My Chips are all in on Derrick Williams Career. No better person to learn from then the greatest player in the last decade. If D-Will can become a workaholic and perfectionist like the Black Mamba, this kids career can become great.
