i dont know much about the 60's and 70's to have an opinion.. but i dont think it would be wrong of me to assume that the best team of the 60's was probably one of those celtics teams.

60's- celtics of whichever year

70's- '72 Lakers (wilt, west and baylor.. another homer pick)

80's- 87 Lakers (it was either 87 lakers or 86 celtics.. I took the Homer pick)

90's- '96 Bulls (72 wins and owned in the playoffs 'nuff said)

00's- '01 Lakers (Swept everyone in the playoffs and the only loss they had took an OT. COMPLETE dominance. GREAT offense with really good defense.. 2 of the top 3 players in the league with the perfect role players to compliment them)

whats everyone else opinons.

If only Shaq and Kobe could have co-existed, who knows how many championships they could have won.

Or how many more would david stern and the nba give them as opposed to how many they could have won fair and square?

60's: 67 Sixers - Wilt finally had the cast to match Russ and he thoroughly dominated, wouldve repeated if their entire Frontcourt would have stayed healthy, then history as we know it changes forever.

70's: Weakest Era IMO, too much parity to really determine a team of the decade but it comes down to either the first Knicks Title Squad, the Bucks or LA

80's: 86 Celtics - Big 3 at their Peak + Upgrades to the cast around him, the Lakers are a good choice but I dont like picking a team with KAJ past his prime or a team without James Worthy.

90's: 91 OR 92 Bulls - I like this trio better than any other Bulls team, Horace was underrated back in the day.

2000's: 00 or 01 Lakers

blame the phone :D
But 80s best team imo was the Sixers anyway. No better team EVER than that Moses-Erving-Cheeks-Bobby Jones etc team

Disagree, the fact they had the same team the next year and lost in round 1 and never won again says otherwise.
