Nothing serious, but thought I'd post it.

According to KFDM in Texas, Kendrick Perkins and Stephen Jackson were arrested in Perkins’ hometown of Beaumont, TX early Saturday morning. The two were booked at about 4:00 a.m. on charges of public intoxication and disorderly conduct.

Both Perkins and Jackson posted bond of $150 and were shortly released.

So, what happened? According to MediaTakeoutOut.com‘s ridiculous account (which is always shady,), Perkins, along with Jackson and potentially Rajon Rondo, all were involved in some kind of altercation outside of a Beaumont club. The group, along with Eric Maynor and Kevin Durant, were all in town for Perkins’ basketball camp and celebrity game. However, the celebrity game was cancelled after Perkins reportedly had an incident in Jackson’s Port Arthur home late Thursday.

According to reports, a “27-year-old male” was taken from Jackson’s home via ambulance to a hospital (Perkins is a 27-year-old male). He was treated for “minor injuries” and released. A spokesman for Perkins said that the Thunder center was suffering from dehydration and was told to rest.

All the details are very sketchy and there’s no real known facts at this point, but here’s what we know: Perkins and Jackson were arrested. For what exactly, isn’t known. Fighting? Being loud? Who knows. Regardless, for the Oklahoma City Thunder, this is the first black eye the squeaky clean franchise has taken. The worst thing before this? Probably either Nate Robinson peeing in public or Nenad Krstic chucking at chair at someone. Or just Robert Swift’s presence on the roster. Hard to really decide.

Hey, a first for everything, right you guys?

Obviously there can’t be any discipline, at least not right now, because the players are locked out. Lucky you, Perk.

But once the players return, I’m curious as to if general manager Sam Presti will take any action on it. Like I said, the Thunder are run as a very clean-cut, no nonsense type of franchise. The idea is to give a conservative community a high character team to root for. So clearly, this isn’t going to be something the Thunder are happy about.

In reality, this isn’t a serious infraction. Perk got drunk and probably made a little scene outside of a bar in his hometown. But it is something, which is already one more incident than the Thunder were hoping for this summer.

Not even a big deal, it will def get overblown though.

When you get drunk, you either get laid, get pizza, or get into a fight, that's just how it works.

I guess you guys didn't hear what really happened, a gun fight broke out and this guys were lucky not to be dead by now. The story is actually more serious than you guys think.

But then ISH got DANGEROUS. Someone pulled out a gun and started SHOOTING. Police arrived on the scene, but the SHOOTING CONTINUED. And police went into action PULLING GUNS, and LOCKING PEOPLE up. It was absolute MAYHEM.

It's not clear if anyone got shot. We're told that at least ONE of the members of KENDRICK and RONDOs crew got ARRESTED. The word on the street is that KENDRICK may have been ARRESTED ALSO. But so far we have found NO EVIDENCE that he was arrested by police!!!

LOL. Its just disorderly conduct. No big deal at all. In fact, in NY, this isn't even a crime. Its a violation, similar to a parking ticket.

For the record they are saying that Captain Jack wasn't arrested and that Perk got drunk in the club, was trying to fight someone and ended up getting arrested for drunk in public.

BEAUMONT-PRESS RELEASE- On Saturday, August 13, 2011 at 2:05 AM Beaumont Police officers noticed a large crowd outside a club called "The Ticket", at 3684 College. Many of the people leaving the club were holding their faces and complaining of fights and pepper spray inside the club. When officers went inside they observed the staff of the club trying to get everyone to leave. According to the arresting officer, he observed a subject later identified as Kendrick Perkins having a disturbance with the management of the club. The police Sergeant advised there were approximately 50 people gathered around perkins as he was attempting to fight the manager. The crowd was able to push Perkins out the back door of the club where he stopped and continued to yell obscenities. Several officers attempted to quiet Perkins and to get him to leave the property. Perkins continued with the obscenities and was trying to fight several other people in the crowd who were apparently trying to help. The arresting Sergeant advised that due to several indicators, it was clear to him that the subject was intoxicated to the degree that he was a danger to himself or others. He was arrested for Disorderly Conduct (language), and for Public Intoxication. He was transported to the Jefferson County Jail and booked on those charges without further incident.

EARLIER SATURDAY-KFDM has confirmed that NBA star Kendrick Perkins was booked and released early Saturday morning into the Jefferson County jail around 4:00a.m. on charges of public intoxication and disorderly conduct. The charges are a class C misdemeanor. Per Texas penal code 12.23, an individual guilty of a class C misdemeanor shall be punished by a fine not to exceed $500. Perkins posted bond of $150 shortly after being booked and was released.

Earlier information provided by the Jefferson County Jail Bookings that Stephen Jackson was also charged with similar charges was incorrect. Stephen Jackson was not booked or involved with the incident. We apologize for the incorrect information provided by the Jefferson County Jail Bookings.

Carrying a tazer, pepperspray, and a sidearm? Really difficult to stop 1 person... Took balls alright...... Most cops with their god complex wouldn't hesitate to use force at the first excuse they got.
