For the next one to two weeks we will be ranking the greatest Laker players of all time here in the Lakers forum. With the lock-out now certain, it'll be a nice time for the Lakers forum to rank the greatest Lakers of all time.

Remember that when evaluating the likes of Wilt, KAJ, or Shaq, that they only played portions of their careers in the purple and gold, and that only their contributions as Lakers should be valued when assessing their all time Laker rank.

*Please nominate other players to be put on the option list after you make your selection.

*The thread for #7 Laker will be opened for four full days through 7/30. After the thread for #8 will be opened on the 30th of July.

Mr. 100 points.

GREATNESS ONE

Wasn't in Purple in Gold ^ Easily could be Wilt but it's too hard for me not to vote Elgin here, he may have never brought a championship to LA but he had one hell of a career in Purple in Gold.

He is still known as Mr. 100 points. Wilt was still dominant with the Lakers and was the MVP for the Finals that we won the year Elgin retired.

Its between Wilt and Elgin, wouldn't mind with either winning this spot, but I'm going with Wilt

For some reason, I don't think of the Lakers when I think of Wilt Chamberlain. So I'm voting for Elgin Baylor.

Added a vote on for Wilt, although when you count out the names it will still count out the old way; the the official tally is in the totals.

I'm keepin' this open until our poll recieves 25 total votes (three more). Hopefully that will allow for this tie to be broken.

^Poll has been reopened. It'd be nice to have a win by two votes margin.

I vote for Elgin

Nominate Eddie Jones

Poll has been reopened, feel free to click on Elgin.

If this poster doesn't come back to this thread I'll manually give Baylor a vote. So Baylor has 11 right now. I won't manually enter it unles he doesn't come back.

Bruno

I think we should close this poll, and have a playoff between Wilt and Elgin for #7. W/ them two being the only two options.

You guys down with that?

Chacarron
08-06-2011, 05:31 PM
Or, you can give this spot to Sasha and open up #8 poll.

Bruno
08-06-2011, 05:38 PM
haha. We should have saved Sashas expiring for this upcoming season. An expiring MLE is has more worth than what we got in return last season.
