I'd say Monta Ellis at #40 in 2005.

Not even close.

Ginobli is the first name that comes to mind.

If you can look past him absolutely ****ing up his career now due to stupidity... Gilbert Arenas #30 in 2001. (Second round at the time)

Also that overated ******bag Boozer @ 35 overall in 2002 I believe. He's a good player... I just plain don't like him lol

Like Cal said. Arenas was a guarantee for at least 40 on many nights. That is how explosive of an offensive player he was.

San Antonio has like 5 or 6 good value picks the past decade.

Whoever it is Im sure it was the Spurs that drafted him. They are excellent when it comes to scouting....

Boozer

He went in the mid-late 30's, I believe. And he's had a decade long career.

Mehmet Okur #38 in 2001 by the detroit pistons
Tony Parker #28 in 2001 by the san antonio spurs
Gerald Wallace #25 in 2001 by the sacremento kings
Louis Scola #56 in 2002 by the san antonion spurs
Kevin Martin #26 in 2004 by the sacremento kings
Monte Ellis #40 in 2005 by the Golden state warriors
David Lee #30 in 2005 by the New York Knicks
Paul Milsap #47 in 2006 by the Utah Jazz
Kyle Lowry #24 in 2006 by the Memphis Grizzlies
Marc Gasol #48 in 2007 by the LA Lakers
Carl Landry #31 in 2007 by the Seattle Supersonics
Landry Fields #39 in 2010 by the New York Knicks
Michael Redd #43 in 2000 by the Milwaukie Bucks

my winner is in bold i might have gone with michael redd but technically he isnt part of the last decade but gasol proved in the playoffs that he is going to be a beast for years to come and i think he has a much higher ceiling than his older bro

now to round out the list for best value pick of alltime

Emmanuel Ginobli #57 in 1999 by the San Antonio Spurs
Rashard Lewis #32 in 1998 by the Seattle Supersonics
Stephen Jackson #43 in 1997 by the Pheonix Suns
Nick Van Exel #37 in 1993 by the LA Lakers
Tony Kukoc #29 in 1990 by the Chicago Bulls

and the winner is Emmanuel Ginobli simply for the fact of how late he was picked which was second to last in the second round of 1999 i do think Tony Kukoc had the more storied career but he also go to play with the great michael jordan

OFC a mention of lebron has to be in any thread. How the heck can the first overall pick be the best value pick

First of all: Tony Parker at 29 was a much better value pick than Gilbert at 31. Just my opinion.

Second: 2004, Kevin Martin went 26th overall. Steal.

Third: Whether you like these two players or not, Mo Williams went 47th overall and Boozer went 35th overall. Both are insane steals at those positions.

Michael Redd anyone? 43rd pick. He was a great player, just way too many injuries...
