Not too big of a deal, but other NBA players were present and it was in 10 min qtrs.

GREATNESS ONE

Oh My Goodness !!! Only the greatest players ever can put up 81 points:)

Why is this considered impressive? He clearly doesn't understand the point of a charity basketball game. The idea isn't to win, or dominate. Its for everyone to raise support and awareness for a charity. He had to have taken almost every shot. I think this is a douche move.

means nothing even with other players there. i went to a charity event that alonzo mourning has every year here in miami. damon jones scored 55 points against a team that had dwade, cp3, durant, and lebron. if you leave an nba player open, for the most part, he'll sink his shots

It's a charity game. Big deal. If he does it next year and gets the Bucks back to the playoffs, then we can talk (maybe).

still inefficient

Iverson scored 70+pts in only one half of play on three seperate occasions during summer camps prior to making the NBA... When you're matched up against a bunch of duds, scoring isn't difficult.

Scoring 81 points in a pro basketball game is difficult. Just ask Kobe Bryant. But, scoring 81 points in a charity basketball game that features four 10-minute quarters? Well, that's damn-near impossible. Enter Brandon Jennings.

The writer thinks it is more impressive than doing it in a regular NBA game. I mean jennings had to do it in 4 10 min quarters compared to 4 12 min quarters.

not sure why people are fronting like it ain't no thing to drop 81. It's still a great effort regardless. Props to Jennings.

Did he shoot 25% like he usually does?

If so...that's a lot of shots.

there was an event by nike called battlegrounds at my house in june 2003. gary payton, bruce bowen, kareem rush, john salley, one dude from that 'slam ball' show too.. i cant remember his name though.. but wow he was a good ball player..
anyway, i scored 5 points by ones and i wasnt even 16 yet.
those games are not even competetive. its like playing 3 seconds with good players who are trying to miss so you feel good about your self

Who keeps track of someone's points in a charity game? However, seeing as he never passes the ball I'm sure it wasn't too difficult of a task.

i think jennings is a very inefficient player and not a good playmaker
BUT
damn 81 points? thats ****ing great
jennings is a good scorer and when he is hot (which doenst happen too often but well) he can put up these numbers
hate him when he goes 4/17 from the field with 2 assists but dont hate when he does things like that
why pass when you are hot thats just stupid

Cool. Kobe Bryant once scored 81 points in a regular season NBA professional basketball game. True story.

Awww man if he ever gets mvp half of the posters on here would go totally, completely, and utterly bezerk! The Derrick Rose mvp outrage was large but Jennings would kick it up to a whoooooole nother level!
