View Full Version : Do you think NBA owners are conspiring to stop the Heat's dynasty with a lockout?

The fact that NBA owners are demanding a hard salary cap, that would require teams to only have 2 max players. Plus the fact that Dwyane Wade is our heart and soul, but with the NBA potentially losing a full season, he will add a year of age to his body which may be good for the short term, but bad for our overall success as we move forward. It takes at least 1 championship away from us. Im not pleased with the way the owners are handling this CBA. Its like they're scorned. I see what they on.

No they are trying to keep the league from having to contract significantly by reducing their financial hemorrhaging.

Hey come on guys, be easy on the dude. He is a relatively new poster and he was just trying to justify a reasoning as to why the lockout occurred. And when you really think about it, he might be on to something. Seeing as how bad LeBron did in the finals, the owners knew that the King was going to come back next season highly motivated and would stop at nothing to get a ring, and the reason.... okay who am i kidding? That was just a dumb idea, HeatFan2011!!

2 words were missing. i dont understand your post

no matter what the cap is the smaller market teams will lose money. Nobody wants to play in an insignificant market. It will be the same result, on a smaller level. No matter what they will still be a last option for marquee stars.

where's the no option

why would you want to vote no?

You need to have an absolutely not on this poll, because I am not voting until so. If ANYTHING, the NBA would benifit financially with a Heat Dynasty.........

Just so people dont attack me for being a homer, the NBA would benifit financially with ANY Dynasty.

From a few insider opinions the Heat are partialy to blame for the lockout. Not because teams are scared they will win every year (Ask Dallas), But because the Big 3 made a spectacle of free agency. They had owners come to them while they showed up to their buisness meeting in sweatpants and "considered" their rediculous MAX offers. Realistically, what they were doing was distracting other teams from signing other players becasue the big 3 knew years ago they woul all sign together.

The owners realized they have completely lost control of their buisness and employees and they rightfully want that control back. If the Heat have any contribuiton to this lockout it is not because of a dynasty, P.S. you need to win ONE ring to start a dynasty. But because these arrogant douchbags mad a spectacle of the league, the owners and "lesser" players by dicking all other interested owners around untill they had their preseason championship celebration.

I doubt that very much^

Media attention and revenue in the offseason is not bad for the owners, the lock out is happening because of the amount of teams losing money.

What a dumb *** thread. You either need to add "no" as a option, or I'm sure mods will close this thread, I'm hoping mods close this thread anyways just because its pointless.

And if the so called "dynasty" of the Heat (whatta joke that is) wanted those 3 guys, they can keep those 3 guys paying them 5 mil a season. If players wanna play with eachother, either shut the light off behind locked doors or take less money, their choice. If they want money, sign with a team that needs a star not with one that already has 2.

The cap helps everyone out, owners don't need to pay their over-grown buffoon of a team 70 mil a year. Their will always be players that wanna play together and "dynasties", so the cap won't matter just the money they get will be lower.

10 mil per year for whatever big 3 is completely reasonable, and even with a 52 mil cap, leaves you 22 mil

These players are just greedy

I'm for the players in the NFL, side note: NFL players have higher risk of injury. These NBA players are just panzies, I can go on but I'm tired and soon this thread will be closed

Once again, **** NO to the question of this thread

Umm... I'm gonna say it's about stopping the T-Wolves from being world champs now that Rubio is here. Either that or there are serious disagreements between players and owners on what a CBA should look like.

1. You actually have to win a championship first to start a dynasty

2. You are a dumbass

3. This is one of the most conceited threads I've ever seen here. Teams around the league are going bankrupt and you think they give a **** about the Heat??? They haven't even won jack **** yet!

you know what this lockout says to me..its a slap in the face to all middle class and poor people..we pay for your gd arenas, we buy your gd jerseys, shoes, headbands, cologne, sports drinks and whatever the f' else you shove down our throats, we pay 8 dollars for a beer that should cost 2 dollars..but thats not enough is it? these greedy sobs want more money for merely entertaining us with a GAME? and to answer the OP's question I say NO.. Most of the owners in the league could give a f' less about winning.. they dont care at all..thats why owners like Cuban stand out because they actually want to win; the others its merely a business venture.. a way to double their wealth; take for example Robert Sarver parading his white superstar MVP in a conservative Arizona, knowing damn well thats the only way he will ever sell tickets, taking the average fan as a fool, But I know better Bobby, you destroyed this team. SO whats going to happen when the lockout ends, i think both sides should be on their hands and knees begging fans to go back and they will of course, you know how wealth is distributed in the US.. only 2% of the population ever make over a million bucks..most of that are these owners and the players..the other 88% not only have to give them help but also the poor bastards on welfare also.. the way i see it is...these players and owners are no better then mf'ers on welfare..good riddance NBA, 1 lost season is not enough for you and your owners...
