So confused by this. Morris was a terrible choice at 14 if you trade away this much just to get Donatas later...Why not take him at 14 and keep the other 1st round picks?

Why did they want Brad Miller? Did they want a Kevin Love look a like to play next to him to confuse the defense?

I think Wolves are gonna look sit this season assuming ther isnt an lockout. I aslo think the Bobcats are gonna be solid for years to come. Cleaveland is gonna make some serious improvment this season to.

Flynn was competing for the worst player in the league the last 2 years! lol If I was a knicks fan I could see wanting CP3 for him, but we just wanted him gone!!

We're the Timberwolves. Unless we trade Flynn for Cp3, people will always criticize us. If Kahn kept Flynn everyone would say - wow, what a bad draft pick. If we trade him, we never get enough value back.

I don't understand why the whole league is so enamored with the Wolves. We're the worst team in the league, shouldn't you all be worried about something more important? Is it nice to kick a team when they're down?

In all honesty, I'd rather have Williams after a terrible season than winning 30-40 games, not make the playoffs, and then have a crappy pick come draft time like so many NBA teams do.... Those are the real losers. They aren't going to win a championship and they aren't going to build for a championship. They are the teams everyone should be laughing at.

We get rid of our 3rd PG in Flynn, a guy who didn't fit with us long term and has been a huge bust his first 2 years in the league and trade the 20th pick.

We pick up a vet C in Miller who has 2 yrs left on his contract and also picked up 2 2nd rounders, a future 1st rounder, cash to buyout Rambis, and the eventual 43rd pick to get Malcolm Lee, an athletic 2 guard who can play D that we fell in love with. Sorry but in no way do the Wolves lose this trade. If we keep Motiejunas, where the **** does he fit in and play for us? We would've been criticized for drafting another 4 and keeping him on the bench.

You just described the Houston Rockets, and to me your acting just as bad as the ones who berate without reason. Clumping teams into groups like that is unfair, you have to temper your expectations in accordance to the teams situation. That the Rockets could compete for the playoffs with Yao (at one point Tmac) being able to provide nothing isnt something to be ashamed of as a fanbase. Imagine Kahn building a team that could compete without operating at full capacity from a financial flexibility standpoint.

I get what your saying, bad teams are the ones that are poorly run while producing minimal results.

When I mock Minny its when they make moves within these rules, the reason Flynn was a bad pick was because of the amount of superior prospects behind him, then theres the fact that Minny fans excused his selection allegedly due to them being ignorant as to what kind of offense they want to see their team run, yet when word spreads that they are ditching the PG inhibiting system, they ditch the PG they were making excuses for? That doesnt make sense unless everyone agrees the moves hes made have been disasterous. Wasted pick, wasted coach

But this move is actually decent for Kahn, Miller wont play but they were really low on Flynn so why not pay alil more $ for an extra draft pick. What he does with the pick is yet to be seen but its better than nothing.

Flynn sucks. Not so bad of a trade for the Wolves although I'm not sure Miller was the best way to go, but the draft pick seals the deal.

Brad will help them out a lot more than Flynn did, but at his age, who knows for how long.

As a Rockets fan, I can we this was a win-win situation for both sides.

We (Houston) get rid of Miller and his contract and get Donatas Motiejunas.

MN gets a vet C in Miller, gets rid of Flynn and also gets a future 1st.

Not a bad deal on either side.

Not sure what all the hate is coming from. I thought Flynn's value was a lil higher, but obviously it isnt. Im just happy to get a 1st in the future, and get a nice young guard in Lee that i actually like quite a bit, and Miller is a vet, not the vet i was looking for but he is ok.

Because its fun to crap on the Wolves on PSD and in the media.

The Wolves basically admitted their mistake last night from 09'. Getting Miller (insurance will pick the majority of his deal up and they will probably release him), and getting out from Flynn's deal along with getting a pick in the 2013 first round most likely, along with cash, are a win. The Wolves already have Rubio/Williams. Why would they need ANOTHER rookie?

^Didnt Malolm Lee come out of that deal too? The 6'6 combo guard that is pretty solid defensively?

I don't know which one of our 37 trades last night netted Lee. But a 2nd round pick is not something I throw in as a valuable win in a trade at this point. If he makes the team and finds a role, then fine.

He did not play to his height though; he did not rebound or defend. I think he got the most technicals on the team and gave up the most three point plays.

It was time to cut ties with Flynn. Even though I still would've liked to see him in a different system, they had to move on while he still had some remote value left....

Kind of a confusing move for Houston though. I hope for their sake they have some other moves up their sleeve because they are seriously log jammed.
