why wait until after the draft, shouldnt they have had a new coach in place by now to see what his coaching style would be and make moves based off that.

They know what style they want to play, so a coach needs to fit that rather than present his own.

They may be the team I am most excited to see play next year. I hope they get a good coach to help all these young guys they have

Somewhere Love is smiling.... Why Rambis played with his minutes and forced the triangle offense on them beats me. Minny fans please educate me on how he kept his job this long

i guess that makes sense but each coach has his preferences and that does play some factor into who gets drafted/traded etc so imo its stupid not having a replacement ready.

If I was a veteran coach, I would be on this as soon as possible

You will be the Coach of the Year if you get them back in the playoffs

Good move by the T-wolves. The triangle would destroy Ricky Rubio's career.

Year 1 was a free pass because Kahn was financially remaking the roster and the squad was devoid of talent. Last year, was the proving year and Rambis didn't do it. It's a 7 letter word: d-e-f-e-n-s-e! So, he's gonna be gone. Yay!

I don't know why play a triangle offense with young players. Good move by the wolves

He's was way to passive for a young team. They need a coach that stresses D and Discipline

because he is owed a bunch more money, the new CBA was coming up, and Taylor pressured Kahn into trying to make it work.

Goodbye Rambis. I couldn't stand how much like Phil he was, and for a young team that needs discipline, that is the worst type of coach. Why did you wait until there was a 14-2 run to call a timeout? Phil can do that, because he has Kobe, MJ, Pippen, Shaq, Gasol, Bynum, Fisher, etc, etc. We don't.

His offense was terrible for our personel, and I honestly am not sure he could run a motion offense he is so ingrained in the triangle.

The Wolves need a defensive minded coach who allows them to get out and run off misses and turnovers.

You think they'd go after a veteran coach now or an assistant like coach Bud from the Spurs?

Word has it that Kahn is looking for a point guard to replace Rambis. lol

but yeah the knicks should just follow their lead and fire D'Antoni

I wouldn't guarantee it. Alot depends on what they do tonight, and are able to do during the offseason. They have young talent, but ways to go as far as establishing roles.

I wouldn't mind seeing a young coach like Lawrence Frank taking a chance with this team. I admired the job he did in NJ.

I have to imagine the reason why he waited so long was for Taylor's approval, Kahn has basically said Rambis was gone, he wasnt there at Rubio's presser, he isnt really in the draft stuff with the team, it was obvious for a couple weeks. IT is odd to wait til now, but i have to imagine The owner was a lil hesitant...The Rubio signing prolly sealed it. We dont want to run a crappy version of a triangle with him.

listening to the guys on local sports talk radio I guess he was basically treating the job like "I should be the lakers coach but I guess I'll do this instead" --get outta here!! maybe if he wore those goofy glasses the players would have bought into his system....

I think we need a enthusiastic coach like Thibideaux, i never saw Rambis get up and coach on the fly ---- especially with such a young team

All in all fellas, TODAY IS THE TURNING POINT!!!!!!!
