Bucks were a promising playoff team now they have def gone downward

Maybe they are hoping that with the money they save from the deal will allow them to sign a free agent center like Gasol?

seriously. Bogut is worth way more than the #2 pick on his own. Maybe The Bucks know something about his health that we don't?

Bucks must be concerned with his injuries. Only thing I can think of. But a healthy Bogut with Love, Beasley, Wes, and Rubio, along with Randolph, Ridnour, and Webster is a much improved Wolves team this year

bringinwood
06-20-2011, 12:50 PM
Wow, Bogut and Love down low...

Rubio, Love, Flynn, Beasley, Bogut, AR, Johnson among others...

That's a playoff roster for sure...

Wow, the Bucks would be insane to even consider this deal...

I understand injuries, but Bogut is worth the 2nd pick in this draft by himself...

When healthy Bogut can be the 2nd best C in the NBA. I would love to see a healthy Bogut playing alongside Love.

There has also been murmurings of the Suns coveting Williams so much so that Gortat may possibly be involved if they were to make an offer to the Wolves.

Is Bogut about to be another "Roy"??? And they are trying to get him out before the rest of the NBA knows

In this draft he is worth the #2 pick by himself! Not adding their 10th pick

But lets look at it on the Wolves side

Rubio
Johnson
Beasley
Love
Bogut

Ridnour
Webster
Ellington
Randolph
Darko

:speechless: THE NEW OKC THUNDER!

If they get a new coach (a good one)

But, you don't trade a Andrew Bogut + the 10 pick to get him...

Talk about selling low on him....

The Cavs really don't need Irving with Davis/Gibson on Board so they could need Bogut.

why would they include the 10th pick. i would think bogut alone is good enough

he's gotta have some injury problem that they are not disclosing publicly.

Don't think Bogut really fits Scott Skiles game so this is probably the reason why. I would like to see Milwaukee maybe get Anthony Randolph back to just to maybe even it out better.

Milwaukee with a big 4 of Jennings, Salmons, D. Williams, and Randolph is definitely something to work with.

and

Minnesota could be a playoff team with

Rubio, Johnson, Beasly, Love, and Bogut. + 10th pick this year

Win win for both teams but Milwaukee should try to get another player in return.

As a Bucks fan I don't know what to think.

1- 1500 ESPN is out of Minnesota

2-If true, Bucks must really be concerned with Boguts injury

3-If I'm the Bucks I don't make this trade unless we get to keep pick #10.

4-To be honest, what have the Bucks done with Andrew Bogut as the franchise player?

BigWheel12
06-20-2011, 01:58 PM
Im with all of you guys. I cant see the Bucks throwing away Bogut (there best player) plus a top ten pick for the second pick in this weak draft, unless they know something about Bogut we do not. But at first glance, the timberwolves could be scary in a few years.

PG: Rubio, Ridnour, Flynn
SG: Klay Thompson, Johnson, Webster
SF: Beasely, Jordan Hamilton
PF: Love, Randolph
C: Bogut, Darko

I had the Twolves taking Klay Thompson (10th pick) and Jordan Hamilton (20th pick) both very possible. They could then trade Flynn for Toney Douglas which has been discussed for some added scoring at the point guard position. In two three years thats a dangerous team. Weak on the defensive side however.

This could always end up being a Tractor Trailer for Dirk Nowitzki type trade as well. It could all blow up in Kahn's face if Bogut doesnt produce.

lol. I honestly wouldnt care as much to be honest. This trade is to great to not take a chance on. Like many have said, Bucks prolly know something we dont or dont like Bogut in there future plans and they want to cut some salary while getting a nice young scorer. I have to imagine teh Wolves org will be thinking about that too and will make sure he is ok.

I would too...

Whoever is saying it's a good deal for the Bucks is pretty clueless...

Bogut along with Love, Rubio, Johnson, and Beasley with Flynn, AR and Darko coming off the bench is a playoff team...

IF the Bucks lose their mind along with all of their fans and do this deal, you should be as excited about this team any T-Wolves team since Garnett...

Their coach is fine. Bogut and Love would fit perfectly in their Triangle Offense system.

They just need a veteran defensive specialist coach.

Rubio is awful in the triangle. It needs to be scrapped, which it will be if Rambis returns. Its one of the stipulations of him returning. The triangle needs a PG who can hit open shots, and do nothing else. Why would we take away Rubio's ability to control the ball with his passing ability, and we all know he can't shoot a lick.

We need to be running pick and rolls with Rubio-Love all night, and then let Rubio work off breakdown and ball movement to get our players easy looks for the first time in 2 years. And for the first time in a year, I am agreeing that we have to run, run, run (I hated it last year because we had terrible decision makers at the PG position, and led the league in turnovers, but Rubio in the open court will be very efficient)

Looking over the Bucks roster, I notice a distinct lack of wing players and a couple "promising" young bigs as well as 3 crappy contracts. I want to convince myself that they feel a need to build a young dynamic core or that they are trying to unload some salary.

It's not even a pick for pick deal, it's a pick for their best player + their lottery pick. Wow.

First off the bucks weren't even planning on keeping nowitzki, dont forget 7 other teams also passed on dirk.

Secondly this draft is extremely thin this year. Milwaukee is clearly concerned about injuries for bogut for the rest of his career. This will clear up a ton of cap space. Bogut is a solid defender but offensively he is not a huge threat. I was at a bucks game last year where the best players on the magic were out with the flu and bogut missed 8 free throws in a row down the stretch. its just one game I realize that, but he has issues that he needs to work on offensively and as of the past couple of years it doesnt seem like they are being addressed.

I feel as if Milwaukee is blowing up and starting over. Maybe we'll be able to sign someone like Monta Ellis or like someone else mentioned Marc Gasol. The bucks are also a team who went into the playoffs and almost came back against the hawks, a much bigger and physical team without bogut. He's not irreplaceable by any means....

As a bucks fan, I cringed when we brought in Gooden and Maggette as well as signing salmons long term. That contract we will regret for years to come. Salmons was great for our playoff push but I cant see him being worth that money for years to come.

Milwaukee is not the most appealing place to play, but if we get a core of players sort of like what Dallas had this year and lure someone who's interested in being the star in this city we could be on to something.

When he's healthy, Bogut is the 2nd or 3rd best true center in the league. But he's breakable, so I can sort of understand this from the Bucks perspective. In this draft, the 10th pick really won't amount to much more than a throw-in. So it's pretty much Bogut and a borderline starter for Derrick Williams, who has star potential.

Personally, I'm not completely sold on Williams. I think he'll be a more athletic Danny Granger, but is that worth even a semi-injury prone Bogut and another lottery pick?

But this trade is PURE GOLD!!!

Hammond: Bogut trade rumors are false
By Charles F. Gardner of the Journal Sentinel
6:38 p.m. | (22) Comments
Bucks general manager John Hammond told me a few minutes ago that trade rumors circulating about center Andrew Bogut are not accurate.

"There's no truth to any of these false rumors that have been reported," Hammond said.

One report said the Bucks were considering a deal that would send Bogut and their No. 10 pick in Thursday's draft to Minnesota for the No. 2 overall pick.

Hammond said the Bucks "have not" talked with the Timberwolves about a deal.

It's worth noting that Bogut was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2005 draft. And while the 7-foot center was limited while recovering from major injuries to his right hand and right elbow last season, he continued to anchor the Bucks defense.

Bogut has three years and nearly $39.5 million remaining on a five-year, $60 million contract extension he signed in the summer of 2008.

Hammond said he and his staff continue to evaluate players at the No. 10 spot, and the Bucks will have a final workout for prospects Tuesday at the Cousins Center.

"We haven't tried to limit ourselves by position," Hammond said. "We're still in the decision-making process we've been in, to acquire the best player on the board."

I could careless. Bucks and minny dont really scare me. boguts not a big deal to me. obvious Bucks think hes hurt, they much rather get a "healthy" player like Derrick Williams or Even Kanter. ya they say hes suppose to be the NEXT best bigman. bucks will squeeze a player too. I can see minny backing out for the asking price. theyll ask for Beasly or someone good that wolves wont give up on top of the pick.
