With all these LeBron threads today, I've been reading a lot has LeBron has many flaws in his game, such as mid range jumper, low post moves, off the ball, etc, and how many people think he has hit his peak and will never be better than he is today. So it got me thinking about other players and how quickly some of them get better. A few I can think of are Dwight Howard, who matured physically into a mammoth and develops new assets to his game each season; Dirk Nowitzki, who went from simply a shooter to one of the most dominant offensive players; and Rajon Rondo, who gets better offensively and defensively with each season. Who are some players who you think seem to develop a new piece to their game each season or improve on a certain piece each season?

If Joakim Noah can hit a mid-range shot, his game will explode. I, personally, think Beasley has to this year. His contract is ending soon and he has to prove his worth or at least show a bit of all that potential we heard so much about.

Monta

he took a 2 year nosedive before this season.

I also can't believe anyone would put Granger. He is on a 3 year slide in efficiency.

Rose and Westbrook are prime examples. Rose improved in like 7 different categories this year.

Rose 1st year: ROY
Rose 2nd year: All-Star, Gold Medal
Rose 3rd year: MVP, All-star Starter, All-NBA 1st Teamer, Had 30ppg 10apg series.

That is big time from year to year accomplishments.

I would have to go with rondo and drose. Drose is going to continue to elevate his game. As a celtics fan I hope to god he can work on his jumpshot and foul shooting.

I would have said Rondo before this season. He made zero improvement in my opinion this year.

No. DG hasn't gotten better... @ one point he was considered Durants equal.

People are problley gonna hate on my selection, but Carmelo has improved every year since he's been in the league. Though, not making HUGE strides of improvemnt, he's still improving.

(all these stats are improvements from the previous year)

04-05:Improved his FT %
05-06:Improved PPG, FT %, and FG %, Assists
06-07:Improved assists, and PPG, 3P %, steals
07-08:Improved FG % and Rebounds, Steals,
08-09:Impoved 3P %, and FT % and Got out of the first round (this is a team stat but he's often identified with never bein able to get out of the first round, so it's only fair to include it as a statistic)
09-10:Improved FG %, and FT %, Steals, and PPG
10-11:Improved rebounds, Blocks, and 3P %

I don't think Rondo's improved and I think its gonna show even more when that team breaks apart and he has less to work with. The other names I agree with.

I guess when I created this thread I was thinking more about veterans. Young guys are expected to get better in their first few years, and then usually around year 4-5 they hit their peak. But it's rare to see someone in year 8-9, or even year 12-13 continually improve. That's why I'd definitely say guys like Dirk and Nash, and even younger but not so young guys like Dwight Howard, who I'm expecting to get so much better than he is right now. How bout even guys like Grant Hill who just develop into defensive beasts in like their 17th year in the league.
